Entretien avec Anthony Galluzzo sur son livre "Le mythe de l’entrepreneur – Défaire l’imaginaire de la Silicon Valley" , que j’ai envie de lire.
Regarder les Americains, surtout les jeunes, rendre culte au Musk ou Jobs me déprime profondément.
Galluzo signale quelques racines de cette herbe nauséabonde, parmi elles la pensée jeffersonienne. Il y en a beaucoup d’autres. Je crois que la renaissance d’attention aux idées de Joseph Schumpeter, une renaissance contemporaine de l’apparition de néolibéralisme est importante. @bluberrycookie Aggiungo pure che si tratta di un mito nato in un ambiente fortemente connotato da una cultura protestante che, incentrata sul rapporto diretto tra la persona e Dio, ha letto il successo personale sia come riflesso di un rapporto migliore col divino ottenuto grazie al "fare" (io lavoro sodo e dunque Dio mi è grado e mi concede lauti guadagni).
Insomma: l'etica borghese della produzione economica come mito e polo dell'esistenza, intrisa di religione.
Non è un caso se tale lettura della realtà sia diventata tanto centrale negli Stati Uniti, nati a loro volta nel mito della 'terra della speranza', del paese ideale da costruire, che ha generato il loro concetto di 'destino manifesto' e che oggi riecheggia nell'autoconvinzione di essere the best country of the world. #selfmademan -
