For #SchiffSamstag here's the fishing vessel M. Ytterstad docked in Ålesund, Norway last year as seen from our balcony as we departed following a lovely day exploring the city. The impressive building in the distance beyond the church is a school. Ålesund is a great place to explore if you like architecture with most of it Jugendstil, a Germanic take on Art Nouveau.

For #SchiffsSamstag here's the superyacht Artefact docked in Philipsburg, St Maarten a couple of weeks ago. She was quite a striking and unusual sight and was the subject of a huge number of photos from everyone disembarking our cruise ship to head ashore.
Artefact is owned by Mike Lazaridis, co-founder of Research in Motion and former co-CEO of BlackBerry.

Es ist wieder einmal #SchiffsSamstag, heute mit dem #Eisbrecher STETTIN. Das kohlebefeuerte #Dampfschiff wurde 1932-33 in Stettin gebaut und war zunächst im Stettiner Haff, zuletzt auf der Unterelbe und im Nord-Ostsee-Kanal im Dienst. Ihr letzter Einsatz war im strengen Winter 1978/1979. 1981 sollte sie abgewrackt werden; ein Fördervereins konnte das Schiff mit tausenden von Arbeitsstunden und der Hilfe von Sponsoren erhalten. Heute ist sie fahrbereites Museumsschiff in Hamburg.

Kenne nicht nur die Menschen, die das #Boot in den #Schnoor gestellt hatten sehr gut, sondern auch die Erbauer dieser Dekoboote.
Als ich das erste Mal auf #Schiffssamstag klickte, kam nach drei Bildern mein eigenes (richtiges) #Schiffchen vorbei - und beim zweiten Mal jetzt dies.
Noch keine Menschen bei mastodon getroffen, die ich "in natura" kenne, aber eine wachsende Zahl #Schiffe. 😎
