For #SchiffsSamstag here's P&O Cruises Azura in Split, Croatia in 2023. She's a Grand-class ship - our favourite class; not too big, not too small - and ships of P&O, Princess, and now Carnival in Australia operate ships of this type.

For #SchiffsSamstag here's the Brittany Ferries vessel, Mont St Michel, which sails a regular service between our home city of Portsmouth and Caen in the north of France. This was taken as she was heading to the UK while we were on our way out aboard a Virgin cruise ship in 2021.

#SchiffsSamstag mit einem originalgetreuen Nachbau der bei Bremen gefundenen #Kogge aus dem Jahre 1380, die heute im Schifffahrtsmuseum Bremerhaven ausgestellt wird. Die 23 m lange "Kieler Hansekogge" wird heute aktiv auf ehrenamtlicher Basis betrieben. Foto: Martin Marheinecke

Wisse, das ist die "Wissemara" in Wismar 2004, da war sie noch nicht ganz fertig. Es ist der Neubau genau nach dem Wrack der "Poeler Kogge", die erst Ende der 90er vor der Insel Poel gefunden wurde. Schon 2004 ein echter Hingucker. Kann man jetzt mit fahren, was ein Schiff.😀
