Gestern Abend habe ich durch Zufall erfahren, dass eine kleine Show stattfindet. Mit Lichterketten geschmückte Schiffe sind an dem schönen warmen Sommerabend durch den Neustädter Hafen gefahren.

2025 wurden in sächsischen Häfen nur noch 12.000 Tonnen umgeschlagen – das entspricht 40 Schiffsladungen pro Jahr. Die geplante Staustufe Děčín (Kosten: 220 Mio. Euro) würde auf nur 15–20 km ganzjährige Schifffahrt ermöglichen. Die deutsche Elbe bleibt vom natürlichen Wasserstand abhängig und hätte nichts davon. Die Schifffahrt schneidet in der CO₂-Bilanz schlechter ab als Bahn oder LKW. Tschechien reicht seit 30 Jahren immer wieder Genehmigungsunterlagen ein – die EU hat das Projekt bereits mehrfach gestoppt (zuletzt 2018). Die Dt. Bundesregierung lehnt Staustufen aus ökologischen und ökonomischen Gründen strikt ab, aber die Sächsische Staatsregierung hat zugestimmt. Der BUND Sachsen fordert stattdessen mehr Gewässerschutz und Renaturierung und verweist auf den EU-Rechtsbruch, da kein wirtschaftlicher Bedarf für das Projekt nachgewiesen ist.
