Whew, after the game crashed yesterday during the last mission, I decided to hop into it this morning and finally beat it

Saints Row is a goodenoughburger of a game to spend some time chilling in a non frustrating way. It isn't too complex nor it want to be.

I have to say one thing in light of the recent #GTAVI news:

It is such a shame that the #SaintsRow franchise is a casualty of the whole Embracer bullshit. I significantly preferred the humor and eccentricites of that franchise over GTA, which - in my personal opinion - just lacks whimsy and is too much of a "crime simulator" for my tastes.

Plus, the increasing monetization of GTA Online kinda soured me on the franchise as a whole.

Tror faktisk jeg synes PC'en strever mindre med dette spillet nå på :bazzite: #Bazzite enn det gjorde på Windows 11...

Cloud Saves virker også, var bare litt vanskelig å finne ut hvilken mappe de skulle ligge i, for i motsetning til GOG spill så må det tydeligvis angis manuelt på Epic spill:

Just finished Saints Row 2. Recommended!

Dated both technologically and artistically—but unlike GTA, doesn't pretentiously attempt to cosplay as high art or meaningful satire. While it isn't for everyone, its audience will find it silly, fun, and charming.

I have almost no #SnowDriving experience, but when my car's back end started sliding out during a curve today, I instinctively steered into the drift to regain traction and then steadied myself.

Just as I had done a thousand times when iterating drift physics for #SaintsRow or the wolf sled on GoW:Ragnarok.

It was kinda surreal, I don't think I've ever had #VideoGame proficiency translate that directly to meat space before.

Вот, собст-но, мой запоздалый отклик на первую часть.

ГТА-лайк средней руки на Xbox 360, идущий на эмуляторе почти без глюков. Знакового безумия серии пока что не наблюдается (хотя Insurance Fraud все еще передает привет), на выходе мы имеем криминальные разборки от лица банды, члены которых считают себя "святыми" по сравнению с остальными. По сюжетной части игра явно уступает GTA, в эпилоге явно чувствуется недоделанность и недосказанность, однако концовка выполнена смело.Некоторые побочные миссии нарочито затянуты. Но город выполнен на отлично.

В целом, #ТретийСергеевичРекомендует для ознакомления с серией. Но вторая часть (имхо) все равно круче. Возможно, я возьмусь и за её (пере)перевод.
