I have almost no #SnowDriving experience, but when my car's back end started sliding out during a curve today, I instinctively steered into the drift to regain traction and then steadied myself.
Just as I had done a thousand times when iterating drift physics for #SaintsRow or the wolf sled on GoW:Ragnarok.
It was kinda surreal, I don't think I've ever had #VideoGame proficiency translate that directly to meat space before.

Chains are a feel good tool...
...as I have discovered on a drive up to a NZ snowfield many years ago.
My car did a slow-mo 360 just below the car park and we stopped right over the edge of a long fall (no guardrail) precipice...
...as me and my now ex counted our luck, the rest of the convoy I was heading passed us...
... it was only then I realised the gravity of the situation as every car was full of folks with shocked faces of people who have just witnessed a near tragedy...
...so yeah chains are not a magic device.
So I have learned. My near lethal error was a minor acceleration.
