My ride-sharing driver was a total migrantphobe. He did, however, make a good point about corruption and how those at the top are taking advantage of migrants:
People fleeing conflict and poverty are brought in as cheap labour. They're NOT taking your jobs. They're given shitty jobs, the kinds you would never. They're forced to stay in tiny apartments with a dozen other men or women. Their already insignificant salaries are further reduced since they need to pay rent and eat.
It's disgusting.
You shouldn't hate migrants. You should hate your politicians and the 1% that have enabled these atrocities.
