@RPiSpy this is a complete nonsense - if they were supporting #sustainability and #longevity in order to reduce #ewaste they are generating every day they’d publish the #schematics for the #raspberrypi5 and sell the replacement parts for #electronicsrepair - #da9090, #da9091 and #rp1 chips to begin with.

As for the I2C - sadly that’s one more case of failed repairability - too bad #raspberrypi won’t sell their #RP1 chip separately😔.

Hopefully someday @iFixit will help us with this one😉.

One more dead Pi 5 - again with a blown #RP1 chip.

Could have been fixed if #RaspberryPi sold parts for #repair.

I put together a reference of "what we know" about the PIO on the #RaspberryPi Pi 5 #RP1.

We've now got a DMA from Linux land to the PIO transmit buffer working! Receive is still to check, but it seems that we now know enough to create demos using PIO on the Pi 5!
