@malte Looks like a nice product and the #reparability is a huge plus. It doesn't look like it has anything to do with being open source, though. At least I can't find any information that claims the hardware and/or software design to be open source.
On the other hand there is the Teufel Mynd speaker, that has all design data freely available which combined with a #cradletocradle concept is a huge step forward that other manufacturers should follow.

Min vattenkokare anno 2019 är död. Var hos en lokal verkstad men de sade att det inte går att laga. Det kostar mer att Elektrolux ska TITTA på den än att köpa en ny. Jag gillar det #eu gör med #reparability och önskar det innefattade krav på att enkla produkter ska gå att laga i en lokal verkstad.

Some time ago, I got a touch lamp with 3 colors and 5 brightness levels.
Now, it has started to work erratically: the power button does not work and switching between colors is not possible anymore.
I opened it up and changing the circuit board would be straightforward. Problem? I cannot find a replacement anywhere on the Internet.
This is yet another great example of #maintainability and #reparability. 🙄
Needless to say, get a lamp with physical buttons.
