Après des mois de tests sur #murenaos @murena sur mon #fairphone3 de 2019, et remplacement du port USB de mon #Fairphone5 j'ai migré vers #eOS !
Fini le partage de données avec les gafam sans mon consentement !
Et pourtant j'arrive à communiquer avec le reste du monde !

Offenbar verkauft #Fairphone keine Ersatzteile mehr für das #fairphone3 #fp3 irgendwie schade, dass sowas nicht groß vorab kommuniziert wird. Falls doch hab ich das nicht mitbekommen, ein support ende für die software war bekannt. Meh

@antoinetricot @louisderrac sous e/os (#Fairphone3) depuis 4 ou 5 ans, et je le vis parfaitement bien :blobreach: Pour les app il y a F-Droid et AppLounge (donc la plupart des app Android). Mon seul rêve serait de virer whatsapp mais pas réussi à faire migrer les parents (75-80 ans) sur Signal, surtout quand ils veulent repartager ensuite.

Well, I've been working on an #eInk #cyberdeck recently, and it runs a #raspberrypi 3B+, which is (it turns out) way underpowered to run #logseq (something something #electron app).

Well! It turns out that someone has written a different version of #logseq which can work alongside logseq (on the same files) - it's called #Tine and it seems to have all the features I use on logseq (with the exception of sync, but that was always janky anyhow, and so I would probably use #syncthing instead either way), but actually runs on lower powered devices! (There's even an #android version which seems to run happily on my #Fairphone3 🎉)

And they were able to do this because #logseq is #OpenSource. This is delightful ❤️✨

Anyone having trouble with unexpectedly high mobile data? Using #Fairphone3 and android with #PhoneCoop in UK and about to switch to #FP6 and #Murena . I have very poor mobile signal at home and work so use very little data unless I'm away from home. Got a warning saying I'd used 15GB today ..which seems extremely unlikely with data turned off and no mobile signal. I suspect nasty Google added more snooping after the last update but 15GB seems impossibly high. Any thoughts masto folks? #MobileData #HighDataUsage #Google #Android

Got a weird tech question, and I'm not sure which forum to post it to, so I'll put it out into the fediverse ether!

I use #lineageOS on a #Fairphone3 and most of my apps are installed via f-droid. But some are installed via #AuroraStore, when there isn't an fdroid version.

I'm not signed into Google play on this phone.

Most apps just work, but there are 3 which do a weird thing, and are unusable as a result - when they start they just spin out to a Google Play sign on page.

What's going on? And is there anything I can do about it?

@finnsend @oraculix Ich habe auch ein #Fairphone3 mit /e/OS und bin damit sehr zufrieden - bei mir funktioniert alles prima! Und ich nutze tatsächlich auch den Olauncher und kann den empfehlen - aber das ist natürlich Geschmackssache :)

Nachdem sich seit einer Woche das Display meines über sechs Jahre alten #fairphone3 nicht mehr zuverlässig einschaltet, hab ich mir zur Feier des #diday heute gleich mal das aktuelle #fairphone6 bestellt, natürlich in der #refurbished Edition, um Umwelt und Geldbeutel zu schonen.

Friday I spilled some liquid on it, and later plugged it in. No charging + a tiny puff of smoke/steam... NOT good.

So I ordered a new bottom module from Fairphone (£17), and accurate tracking updates told me it'd arrive Tues afternoon.

It did, I followed the simple install video (took 30 mins) and my 6-year old #Fairphone3 is now good as new.

AND I had use of it the whole time, since I just swapped in a spare battery.

Brief reminder of this ⬆️ testing option of Android 16 for the FP3 – I was able to install it on a spare FP3 (previously on /e/OS Android 15 community 3.7.1) myself today – while the same installation on another FP3 (coming from Fairphone's latest Android OS Android 13) would not boot. /u
