So my experience with @murena #eos has not been so great since their 4.11* release. The internet connection broke after installing the release. I think it might be a broken DNS configuration on the device. After disabling automatic DNS and Advanced privacy, I was able to get the WiFi working correctly (for now) by installing #RethinkDNS. Ive also noticed a strange app running that i never noticed before from Qualcomm so maybe there coukd be an issue there as well. #fairphone #fairphone6 #fp6

@murena I'm very disappointed in the last update of e/os which broke WiFi on my #fairphone6 even more disappointing is the support process (or lack thereof) for such issues. A degoogled phone is only as good as the updates provided and the support processes to manage such issues. Talk to #fairphone I've created a support ticket for it. #eos #degoogled

@murena I received the latest update today on my #fairphone6 and since then the WiFi connection is really bad. If i try to load a webpage, it takes a long time (if it even loads). Mobile data works fine. Is this a known issue? #fairphone #murena #eos

Haben eigentlich noch mehr Personen so große Probleme mit der Performance diverser Apps nach dem Update auf /e/OS v4.1.1.1? Das ist ja die reinste Zumutung, einige Apps laden einfach gar nicht mehr. Abmeldung, Neuinstallation und Neustart/Herunterfahren des Smartphones bringt nichts.

In an unusual move, the company announces (in today's email Fairphone newsletter) an upcoming (!) price INCREASE for the existing Fairphone 6️⃣:
"... That is why we are letting you know directly that the Fairphone (Gen. 6) will be reverting to its original recommended retail price in mid-August.
We have also been affected by the ongoing global memory chip shortage and have successfully managed to postpone any price increase until now. In fact, we had actively dropped our prices when the shortage was at its most acute. The good news is that if you have been waiting to make the switch to a highly repairable device backed by software support until 2033, now is the time to add it to your shopping cart and check out."
The original RRP for the Fairphone 6 was 599 Euros. /u

Need help from the Fairphone bubble. I cannot find a way to decrease the gain of the microphone when recording videos. Especially when recording live music, it is totally distorted.

When you have a #Fairphone6 and experience very long loading time in some #WiFi networks then you hit most like this bug [1]. Sadly, It is related to #IPv6 and most likely a #driver #bug which needs to be fixed.
Luckily, there is a temporary workaround, see [2] which at least "reduces the pain". -

For what it is worth, Lemuroid was able to handle #Pokemon Soul Silver on my #Fairphone6 with murena's #e_OS still running stock on it. Might end up playing more soon, I've been itching to revisit these games and haven't taken the time to load them on my Steam Deck. #RetroGaming #screenshot

@WorldTravelerAll7 I am hoping to jump the ship at some point, but I needed a reliable daily driver with all the (proprietary garbage) apps working for banking, social security, public transport etc. I couldn't risk /e/OS, just yet, but having a #Fairphone6 with Android I am looking forward to maybe switching to Murena's offering at some point.
