And lastly, #PointNemo (which I did NOT know about... WTF!)
"Point Nemo is also known as “the oceanic pole of inaccessibility” for being the point in any ocean farthest from land. It serves as a "spacecraft cemetery" for space infrastructure and vessels.
The human-environment interactions that lie at the heart of environmental justice, including sacrifice zones, have been proposed to also include the environmental sacrifice of regions beyond Earth.[36] Klinger states that "the environmental geopolitics of Earth and outer space are inextricably linked by the spatial politics of privilege and sacrifice – among people, places and institutions".[36] Dunnett has called outer space the 'ultimate sacrifice zone' that exemplifies a colonially framed pursuit of infinite opportunities for accumulation, exploitation, and pollution. This manifests in both terrestrial and space-based sacrifice zones related to launch infrastructure, waste, and orbital debris.[37]
Point Nemo is an oceanic point of inaccessibility located inside the South Pacific Gyre. It is selected as the most remote location in the world and serves as a "spacecraft cemetery" for space infrastructure and vessels.[38] Since 1971, 273 spacecraft and satellites have been directed to Point Nemo; this number includes the Mir Space Station (142 tonnes) and will include the International Space Station (240 tonnes). The International Space Station is planned to be decommissioned by the end of 2030 through a controlled de-orbit.
A dedicated spacecraft will be used to guide the station into the atmosphere, where it will break up and its fragments will fall into a remote and uninhabited area of the Pacific Ocean known as #PointNemo.

Point Nemo's remoteness and harsh conditions make it the perfect resting place for space debris. It also would be a perfect place for stargazing due to the minimal light pollution there.

BBC has an article on #PointNemo, AKA Oceanic Pole of Inaccessibility, AKA #spacecraft graveyard. This is the place in #ocean furthest from land, in middle of the usually stormy South #Pacific. It’s as far out there as you can get without leaving t planet: about 2,688km (1670mi) from nearest dry land. Since 1971, over 160 spacecraft have met their end in these chilly waters, from fiery public end of #Mir #space station to secret death of numerous secret spy #satellites.

#NASA plans to retire the #InternationalSpaceStation by 2031 by crashing it into a remote part of the Pacific Ocean known as #PointNemo. Point Nemo is the point in the ocean that is farthest from land and has been a watery grave for many other spacecraft.
-
"The #oceanic pole of #inaccessibility, also known as #PointNemo [...] is the place in the #Pacific ocean that is #farthest from land. [...] The area is so remote that—as with any location more than 400 kilometres (250 mi) from an inhabited area—sometimes the closest human beings are astronauts aboard the #InternationalSpaceStation when it passes overhead. [...] The general area plays a major role in the 1928 short story "The Call of #Cthulhu" by H. P. #Lovecraft, as holding the location of the fictional city of R'lyeh, although this story was written 66 years before the identification of Point Nemo. The area is nowadays known as a "#spacecraft #cemetery" because hundreds of decommissioned #satellites, #space stations, and other spacecraft have been made to fall there upon re-entering the atmosphere, to lessen the risk of hitting inhabited locations or maritime traffic. The #ISS is planned to crash into Point Nemo in 2031.
