  1. I've now made it a habit to turn on basic telemetry on new #Linux installs. These people won't use that data for advertising, but _actually_ improving the product. Let them know I put #Kinoite on a #Chromebook, #NixOS on a MacBook and #ArchLinux on a Surface Hub (that last one wasn't actually me).
    The Year of the Linux Desktop is NOW, we just don't know, because we've lost all trust in telemetry.

  2. Back to school. Though the kids are issued Chromebooks, the English teachers are now requiring hand written writing assignments with hand written drafts.

    They are trying to mitigate the scourge of AI.

    I fully support the handwriting requirements and feel all classes should rely less on Chromebooks for learning.
