Libresprite, a pixelart software that is built on top of the the fork of the last GPL commit of Aseprite, endores LLM/GenAI usage by including a script that connects to GenAI sites.

This. Is. Horrible. The response that was given when somenay asked for it to be removed, is even worse.

According to open-slopware, libresprite has Permissive AI Policy (which means GenAI usage is allowed to contribute code, evidence here, [AI Functionality]() which can be found in this script.

Disgusting. For an art software to endorse the usage of the bullshit that is genAI. A certain being commented with some sort of funny apolitical stance, which fucking sucks, and some other being said that this request was "beings going apeshit".

No thanks, gonna be using Krita. Krita, does not have an AI policy per say, well, it forbids the usage of AI in any way, shape, or form within Krita's code or docs. But also, they postponed their decision until October 2026. Sorry, but don't wanna use software that doesn't know where it stands on this issue.

We don't give two fucks, art, the environment, and many other things are at stake here. Fuck GenAI and LLMs, and fuck the corpos that are peddling them. We don't give two fucks about learning new software, fuck, we will make our own pixelart software if the need arises, because we care.
