  1. This is my first post in here. I am quite fed up with the social medias and I wanted to try out something else. I am a musician currently finishing an Advanced Master in Contemporary Music in Belgium and I am trying to spread my online music lessons. But also, I would like to share my works as well as maybe start some new collaborations and get to know new people!!

“LiDAR or Light Detection and Ranging is an active remote sensing system that can be used to measure vegetation height across wide areas.
This [tutorial] page… introduce[s the] fundamental LiDAR (or lidar) concepts including:
    • What LiDAR data are.
    • The key attributes of LiDAR data.
    • How LiDAR data are used to measure trees...”

  4. What Is A Digital Elevation Model (DEM)?- A Practical Guide
    --
    equatorstudios.com/what-is-a-d <-- shared tutorial

“A Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is a digital cartographic dataset that represents a continuous topographic elevation surface through a series of cells. Each cell represents the elevation (Z) of a feature at its location (X and Y). Digital Elevation Models are a “bare earth” representation because they only contain information about the elevation of geological (ground) features, such as valleys, mountains, and landslides, to name a few. They do not include any elevation data concerning non-ground features, such as vegetation or buildings...”

  5. We've moved to online classes for a month and probably won't see the students in-person again until after their exams.

Unfortunately this means that the students are becoming a little lax in practicing their L2 skills. Despite giving them self-directed assignments, without the L2 environment they are not practicing those skills nearly as much as they should be.

I am not hopeful that we will beat the global average this year.
