  1. Ever wonder how to ask for recording consent without making the call feel awkward? The secret is telling people exactly why you're doing it and what's in it for them. Mention that you want to avoid typing so you can stay present, then offer to share the notes afterward. Check out the full tip in this short.

  2. No warning, no banner, just stale data. We found it because a user mentioned in passing that their notes sometimes don't show up on their laptop. That sentence uncovered a class of bugs that only exist when real people push a tool past the scale you tested for. The fix took thirty minutes. The lesson took longer: your test data should look like your worst-case user, not your average one. #omnicanvasnotes #notesharing #digitalworkspace #canvaslayout #softwaretesting 2/2

  4. When you're reading a non-fiction book, do you prefer to take notes as you go, or do you wait until the end of a chapter to synthesize everything into a summary?

  5. Stop scrubbing through an hour of meeting audio just to find one specific detail. You can now actually ask your meeting questions and get answers grounded directly in the transcript with a path back to the exact source moment. Check it out here.

  12. Write down what surprised you, what contradicted something you already believed, what you would want to look up next. Your notes should capture your reaction to the text, not the text itself. The text already exists. Your thinking does not. #omnicanvasnotes #notesharing #digitalworkspace #notetaking #activereading #studytips 2/2

  14. Genuine question for people with a lot of notes — what's your rule for when something gets its own note vs. when it lives inside a larger one? Do you go atomic from the start, or do you split things out only when a note gets too crowded? I keep going back and forth on this.

  15. Genuine question for anyone who works across time zones — how do you handle meeting notes when half the team is asleep? Do you write a recap note for the async folks to read in the morning, or do you try to capture decisions in something they can navigate when they wake up? Curious what actually works in practice.

  16. Have you ever tried mixing visual elements with your words, or does that feel like it breaks the flow? There's no wrong answer — I'm genuinely curious how different people approach the same blank page. #omnicanvasnotes #canvaslayout #notesharing #journaling #visualjournaling #mindmapping 2/2

  17. Or have you mostly given up and just search the same three meals online every time? Tell me what you've tried and whether it survived more than a month. #omnicanvasnotes #notesharing #digitalworkspace #recipeorganization #mealplanning #notetaking 2/2

  18. The article breaks down the five reasons most people abandon their system (complexity, guilt spirals, perfectionism, tool-switching, and lack of purpose) and pairs each with a concrete fix. The most actionable one: aim for a capture process that takes under ten seconds. Organize later, or not at all. If you've ever spent a weekend building a beautiful notetaking setup only to abandon it three weeks later, the diagnosis and the fixes are worth your time. #digitalworkspace #notesharing 2/3

  19. 'Why does this follow from the previous chapter?' is worth more than copying the paragraph that explains it. What's one textbook or reference you've been re-reading instead of actually studying — and what's keeping you from annotating it instead? #omnicanvasnotes #notesharing #digitalworkspace #studytips #activereading #annotation 2/2

  21. What is the one piece of information you're always struggling to find in your digital notes, even though you know you saved it somewhere?

  22. I once took a lecture using the Cornell Method and was amazed at how well I retained the information. After summarizing my notes, I realized I understood the material much better than with my previous methods. It changed my study game forever!

  23. Did you know that your biological brain excels at generating ideas but struggles with retaining them? Building a "second brain" – a digital system for capturing, organizing, and retrieving information – can solve this problem. Spatial notes, where connections are visible on a canvas rather than hidden in folders, are perfect for this purpose. This approach lets you see the relationships between your notes and stumble upon new ideas when they come together. #omnicanvasnotes #notesharing 1/2

  24. To maximize your note-taking efficiency, try using the Box Method. Create distinct boxes for each topic during your session. This method helps you focus on one subject at a time, making consolidation easier during review. Give it a shot in your next meeting!

  28. I had a video call with a client I am following to help him with
@obsidian, and he asked me how to add an internal link to the "Yesterday's note" and "Tomorrow's note" inside his daily note.

I thought about one simple and amazing Lazy (the app!) feature to test: Share to web!
I created the card with the template syntax and I shared it with him. It looks very nice!

I also see the note in the "client profile" history!
