So...my amazing friend Imp, a young Black trans woman, filmmaker, game dev, skateboarder, and all around fabulous human being, is asking for help for two of her close friends in Zimbabwe, where they all live. The donor link is at the bottom of the post.

And, because racism and ignorance about Africa are things, yes, I'm quite certain there is no scam here. Imp has been a friend for a year, and has never asked me for money (though I've given her some!). She's a smart, creative, active young woman, and just needs a boost that the economy she's living in can't give her right now.

These two trans people are very important in the local trans community, and Imp (and I)! would like to see that they don't end up unhoused.

The problem is this: it's URGENT.

They will be evicted on the 1st of August, if they can't come up with the back rent.

They owe USD 1500. So far, about 340 has been raised.

Anything you can do to help would be incredible. One of the two to be helped is *also* an artist, and one with absolutely GORGEOUS art. You can find her artwork in Imp's store, tagged as "africuz".

ALL art from the store - including Imp's own work - is paying to the fund. So go buy some beautiful art. Give yourself the gift of beauty, and give Imp's friends the gift of shelter.

URGENT Your Merciful Contribution Would Be An Act Of Compassion That Would Be Greatly Appreciated;

I have a cart full of #food to eat but lack the $350 to buy it, I have a cart full of personal care, hygiene, and household supplies but lack the $200 to buy it, I have a cart full of clothing that I need but lack the $400 to buy it, not to mention the rest of what I need to deal with, it is sad really, that in one of the wealthiest times in human history and in one of the wealthiest nations on earth, that anyone would be struggling with #poverty and #disability, and do so with so very little support at all, it really is sad that I have to beg for help that I most certainly never actually receive in any capacity to actually resolve the gapping growing hole of needs;
