Radio Six International 1467 kHz: one Hour earlier on Saturday Night
"Midnight Rendez-Vous", the Radio-Six Saturday night show, airs one hour earlier from May 9th, from 22:00 to 23:00 UTC. People had asked for this, as 23:00 UTC was too late for them, show host Tony Currie announced last night, and wanted to be tucked up in bed right after the show where the action is.
That’s a bit weird, because UTC is the same in winter and summer, but then, the audience isn’t as young as it was when the Beatles were still performing together.
The frequency remains unchanged, on 1467 kHz from Romoules.

Until a few years ago private #mediumwave stations were not allowed in Italy, a lot has changed since the public broadcaster switched off and promptly razed to the ground their (ours) historical transmission sites, following a well tested procedure to burn the ships down before someone could change course. -

In the end I did hear Farsi talk on 837 a bit later, just as weak as the CNR5 snippet below... MWLIST also lists them from a small, 10kW relay in Khur. Offset I measured is 836.9996, really likely .9992 - doesn't match the .996 one listed for Esfahan/Habibabad 400kW unit! #mediumwave #mwdx #Iran

Regular Radio Six Mediumwave Transmissions on Saturdays, and other Radio News
Japan / Middle East
On shortwave, Radio Japan (or NHK) have reportedly expanded their transmissions for Japanese citizens in the Middle East since early March, from the usual plus/minus six hours to 24 hours a day. The program is meant to serve Japanese citizens in Iran in particular, as both internet and international phone connections may be difficult to access there.
It is believed that in addition to the usual NHK Radio content, information that may be of use for Japanese citizens in Iran is added to the program. Details are provided by the NHK website, with transmissions on frequencies both from Yamata in Japan, and Issoudun in France.
Israel
On 1287 kHz medium wave, Galei Zahal is back. Another frequency from Israel appears to be 945 kHz, but that’s not necessarily Galei Zahal.

Update, Mar 14:1st regular transmission postponed, now March 21Tony Currie has announced regular Radio Six International mediumwave transmission on Saturday nights at 23:00 UTC, next one on March 14 (this Saturday) on 1467 kHz, via Romoules in southeastern France. The program is titled "Midnight Rendezvous", and on March 7, it featured songs from continental Europe, not least in French. The signal came in rather well here in northwestern Germany, on a Sony ICF-2001D receiver without anything but its built-in ferrite antenna.

Listening to 1278 kHz, #Ukraine Radio has gone open-carrier a couple minutes ago, in the midst of Suspilne newscast (a TV simulcast?). The audio hasn't returned yet as on 1916z, leaving a weak IRIB Radio Kermanshah (itself 1st heard in over a year!) on freq. #mediumwave #WARINUKRAINE 4th Anniversary

BTW lo spettro radiofonico in OM, lasciato libero dallo stop delle trasmissioni RAI, in Italia ha permesso la nascita di alcune radio private che trasmettono in modulazione d'ampiezza, piuttosto che in FM. Una che ascolto talvolta la notte opera sui 1188 kHz e credo si tratti di Radio Studio X, dalla prov. di Pistoia.

Radio Farda (or Radio Liberty) published a press release on January 10, explicitly citing Iran’s internet blackout as the reason for the decision to get back to the shortwave bands. According to the British DX Club’s (BDXC) "Middle East on Shortwave" update of January 14, Radio Farda resumed broadcasting on January 10, two days ahead of schedule (times and frequencies there, page 4).

Looks like BBC has joined Radio Farda and VOA in reactivating their #radio services to #Iran amid the full digital blackout in the country... 0500z on 9410 kHz. This in addition to 1395 #mediumwave via Armenia, 1730 & 2030z, which popped up in June 2025, due to war with Israel. #shortwave

Estoy sintonizando en estos momentos dos emisoras de la COPE por la misma frecuencia: 882 kHz. Podrían ser COPE Alicante, o COPE Málaga. Incluso podría ser COPE Tenerife. Yo estoy en Coruña.
