After passing my mod1 #motorbike license test the other week, with Mod2 test due in a few weeks. It’s time to go motorbike shopping :-)
I’m over to #Spain next week so hoping to get along and buy this thing. 400cc #maxiscooter with a massive factory fitted central locking top box that takes two full facers!
The colour is… ok, but the price is great :-)

I’m no expert, but I think there’s a blown transistor in here.
This by the way, is the LED brake light controller for my #vectrix #VX1 #MaxiScooter.
It’s being worked on right now, but the rear brake light stopped working a while back.
I’ll break out the multimeter and try to remember my transistor diagnostics skills (check for shorts) but I dunno, by sight alone I think Q1 is pooched.

About to embark on getting #motorbike licence. It’s quite a process!
At one end it has some really sensible stages, like having to pass different tests to get to ride more powerful bikes.
But at the other end it’s got some glaring silliness, for instance the fact I can do the whole thing on an automatic bike, then legally ride a powerful geared bike.
The hope is to have it all done and dusted by new year, then trade in my little 125cc scooter for a 400cc “maxi-scooter”.

Aaand back! Sure. I could have taken a car (or the truck) and used ~ 6kwh in the car or ~12 kWh in the truck. But I took Hemmer, and used closer to 2.5 kWh, had a coffee, and did some quick grocery shopping.
It’s good to be back. I didn’t enjoy the ride out, but the ride back was epic. Music on, eyes active, brain engaged.
I still have to work on my steering though. Not having something to grip with my thighs is… tough to get used to

My motorcycle now has functional brakes. They are the right way around. I suspect at some point however, it will need a proper brake service, and I might chicken out of that because holy cow It just took me 90 minutes to bleed the brakes WITH a vaccum pump.
Going to do a round trip to my local greengrocers to test everything out. Here’s hoping it works…

It’s a glorious autumn day and while windy, would be a lovely day to ride.
However, I promised myself I wouldn’t ride any more on my new bike until it gets its new tires installed, as the ones that are on the bike were made in 2007…
Urg.
Sometimes being safe can be a pain.
