Updated #introduction (now with screenshots)!
Static websites are great—until you want to add a new item to the navigation or publish a new blog post from your phone. That's where #mattrbld comes in.
It is an open-source content management system that makes it convenient to manage your content from different devices without locking you in, preserving your privacy and freedom.

Quick PSA to anyone who has used #Mattrbld before and is wondering why it’s not updating to v1.0:
It seems that due to the change in underlying architecture, your browser might not be able to automatically detect that there is a new version available. You can force it to load the newest version by performing a hard refresh, that is done by clicking the refresh button while holding down the Shift-key. In some browsers you may also use Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + R.
Sorry for the inconvenience!

If the whole #wordpress situation has you looking into alternatives, maybe give #Mattrbld a shot. 😊
It’s definitely not a 1:1 replacement—but it will not lock you into a platform that may go haywire despite being open source, as your website will work independently from the content management system.
A new approach is not worse just because it’s different.
#HeadlessCMS are the future. 😊

It took more than three years, but with #Mattrbld 1.0 you’ll finally be able to duplicate Schrmas, Collections and Custom Fields—and save content, Schemas, and Custom Fields by pressing Command / Control + S. 👌

The year is fast on its way into its final quarter, which means the #FOSS release of #Mattrbld is coming closer.
A big part of that is the licence, of course. I want Mattrbld (and potential derivatives) to be accessible to all, forever. Which is why I’m considering the #AGPL licence (since technically it’s a SaaS product).
Is there anything that would speak against this choice? Are there some special considerations to take before applying the licence? 🤔

Looks like the parent company of #Tumblr and #WordPress.com (users of the JetPack plugin on self hosted WordPress might also be affected) will be selling the content of their users to #AI companies. 😒
With #Mattrbld, that cannot happen, as it’s simply a UI for *your* content. Perhaps today is a great day to start building your own website with tools you can truly control. 😊

New release time! 🥳
#mattrbld 0.4.0 is out *NOW*!
Among features and fixes, this release brings the ability to leave comments on content item previews for better collaboration and streamlined review-processes. 😊
You can learn about what's changed in the in-app changeling or in more detail in this #devlog :

Is there a way to “verify” links to *other* #Mastodon profiles? 🤔 I’d like to show that the profile for #Mattrbld that I link to in my bio is in fact the official one. 😅 I know it should be logically obvious, since I'm the creator and the Mattrbld profile contains a verified link to the website, but still, I'd be nice if they both had a green checkmark. 😅

And just like that, 2023 has arrived. 😅 Here’s a small roadmap of the features and fixes that I’d like to tackle this year.

New blog post on why having a personal site may be a good idea and how the #Jamstack and #Mattrbld can help you build a unique and independent platform for your #content.

Working on a new blog post for the #mattrbld website – in Mattrbld of course. 😉
I’m especially proud of that hero image. 🤣
