#gdr #rpg #happiness #littlethings

"One day we'll all find out that all of our songs was just little notes in a great big song!"

What small act of everyday kindness have you noticed recently?
“My girlfriend noticed someone struggling with the door and a buggy so went over and helped get the buggy out of the door and down the steps.”
Acts of kindness like this are happening everywhere all the time and we’re here to help you see it.

I complimented a lady on the train on her funky nails and she said it made her day.
I almost didn’t say anything, but then I remembered the stories we’ve had sent into us here at TfK and how much it means to people to receive a compliment so I decided to speak up!
How have you shown kindness today?

Small, everyday acts of kindness are powerful as this example shows:
“Our cleaner is really lovely but this last time she also left a weird note that made us chuckle on the freezer board list.
She also created what looked like a ritual sacrifice of the bathroom ducks around the single bathroom cat!
It’s such a small thing but they both made us smile and laugh, which is always a kindness in my opinion.”

73% of images on Twt have alt text which is super awesome!
Well done all! Let's help out the folks who haven't figured it out yet with kindness and compassion and get that percentage even higher.

What kindness have you spotted out at the shops lately?
We hear about a lot of kindness in supermarkets and here’s the latest:
“I showed a woman where easter eggs were in Asda in Barry.”

What kindness have you seen this week?
After a day out in Richmond Park with friends. K and I were getting on the train to go home and an elderly man asked for help taking the step up from the platform.
I put my arm out for him to hold onto as he used his other hand to hold the grab rail on the train and pull himself up.
Once on the train, someone else stood up so that he could have a seat.

“My housemate caught covid & I already have long covid that has been destroying my life, so my girlfriend let me hideout at her place in Cardiff with my dogs so I could avoid getting sick. Thankfully my dogs & her cats put up with each other with minimal stress.”
It’s so important to notice kindness even when it’s somewhere we might expect it, like in relationships, and this is a wonderful example.
We hope your housemate is doing better now too. -
Kindness is contagious as this wonderful example shows - but what kindness have you spotted today?
“I was sat on a chair by reception at my doctors in Barry, Wales, and a lady who came in checked if I was in the queue before she went up to reception.
A bit later she did her blood pressure in the machine just opposite me and couldn’t figure out where the print out came out so I showed her.”

“My favourite moment of kindness: I would have been about 20, heading back to university for the new academic year, walking to the station with a huge rucksack and a heavy suitcase on a boiling late summer's day, counting to 20 between stops to regrip or adjust the straps. It wasn't far -- a mile or so -- but I'd underestimated how hard it was going to be."

Where have you spotted kindness today?
“A stranger saw me trying, and failing, to get the attention of a conductor from the train platform at Cardiff central in my wheelchair and walked down the platform to get them for me so they could get the ramp so I could get on the train.”
Such a simple and small act of kindness that made a big difference to someone’s day. That’s the kind of thing we love to hear about!

8 years ago Tŵt was just a little idea. Today, I’m posting from the beta of our very own custom app thanks to @newsmast Apps For Change.
As I look at this little screen, I’m thinking of 8 years from now. I hope by then, this isn't "tech stuff" anymore, it's how we just talk to each other.
The Defaidodon machine is going mobile, see you in 2034!

What kindness have you seen in your workplace this week?
“I had a meeting with a colleague in a café on campus. As we left, someone ran after us to return my colleague’s bag which he had seen her leave behind by mistake.”
Small acts of kindness like this make up everyday life, try choosing to notice it and see how it makes you feel.

What small act of everyday kindness have you spotted recently?
“At the weekend I was walking towards the gate of the playground pushing a sleeping baby in a pram. Someone was walking past with their dog and stopped to open the gate so I could get out more easily.”
This one was sent in via our Facebook page - it’s that easy to tell us about the kindness you’re seeing!
