  1. also, a big thanks to Fina Zhou for proofreading the Chinese language version of my site. A great strength of #ProcessWire is that it has native multilingual features.

  3. I’ve added a small events calendar to my #ProcessWire website. It appears right before the footer in /home and has its own page /events. it is an expandable accordion which displays information like venue/time/program/tickets

  7. I've implemented the Standard.sites lexicon schema on my #ProcessWire newsletter, connecting it to the ATmosphere.

  9. pushed updates to my landing page gavingamboa.net

It is now natively bilingual english/spanish … everything except the newsletter itself (working on that) … thanks to way #ProcessWire handles multilingual fields.

also separating concerns and setting myself up for more granular rss feeds, so now instead of site-wide, the rss feed is dedicated to the newsletter and only appears on the /newsletter page.

I'm contemplating a weekly notes section with it's own rss feed

  10. building my newsletter in #ProcessWire with the #ProMailer module has been great. Here is the custom interface I built for drafting dispatches. Notice there is also a #TiddlyWiki Import tab at the top, which accepts individual tiddler urls and will pull in the images and text from my wiki to help me get started with the draft.

The layout is also custom, down to the height of the body field and the placement of the columns and image fields.

  12. I built and designed a new website for Cybersecurity and DevOps expert Julie Tsai in #ProcessWire

  13. Decided it's time to separate my writing and music sites, and figured I'd give Processwire CMS a try. Minor hiccup getting it connected to the MySQL database , but otherwise a smooth, clear, and easy setup process.

I'm really looking forward to having a FOSS Wordpress alternative that is actually easy to use. Fingers crossed.

  14. you can subscribe to a newsletter that I am developing here.

    gavingamboa.net/newsletter

My newsletter is low-frequency and it is self-hosted, which means that your inbox will not be cluttered, and your email addresses will not be sent via—nor sold to—a third party, ever. Thank you for your support.

  15. I have revamped an old domain of mine after not updating it in over 10 years. It is a landing page for my music work, and a self-hosted newsletter built in #ProcessWire

    gavingamboa.net

Starting fresh, and looking forward to adding #ActivityPub integrations over time.

  16. I was looking at #Processwire's website after hearing @gavcloud talk about it for the nth time and saw they feature @velvetyne's website as an example which I already had open in another tab for a totally unrelated reason.

  18. I love helping friends into resilient models of open-source infrastructure that they control, (bonus points when it is bilingual) :mastodance:

We ditched Squarespace and their exorbitant yearly charges for a website focused on their language justice work, made in ProcessWire with native language switching and editing.

  19. I made my first component using AJAX in #ProcessWire … a search-engine that feeds results dynamically into the markup. Don’t ask me how I made it this long as a developer not having touched any of that sort of functionality. I guess you could say I tend to lead a life of simplicity.

  21. Glad to have contributed to the PrivacyWire module for the /

This module makes it super simple to include content (e.g. scripts, iframes) in your HTML that must *only* function *after* suitable consent has been obtained.

This is great for and basic human respect and compliance in UK/EU.

Now what's mind boggling to me is how many people CHOOSE to opt in to marketing cookies

  24. This took me a while, but I solved an interesting problem in a #ProcessWire page I am updating.

I wanted to display all artist names (the children of a page "Artists") as ordered in the Admin backend, but instead of linking to those actual children pages (which serve as an index page for the artist), link to a relevant project of theirs … EXCEPT if it's a "news-item" page … don't show those.

references() method traverses and filters exactly as I had hoped!

  25. it is thanks to @liaizon that I discovered #TiddlyWiki and I admit I fell into it with a lot of enthusiasm. I love it. Btw @triple I’ve seen your work on Velvetyne via the #ProcessWire forums. Excellent work. Can’t wait to see what you make with TW.

  27. I wonder if my client will want changes to my suggested banner.?

I'm using the excellent PrivacyWire module for the CMS/CMF which makes it easy to ensure scripts don't run until consent is given. The texts are configurable...

#Processwire is a very cool and powerful CMS I use for 10 years.

  32. #help
    currently having trouble setting up #ProcessWire, using #Windows 11, #VsCodium and #Xampp
The compatibility check tells me that i need GD 2.0, so i tried to install it. For that I need to use a nmake command, which always comes back with an error : nmake is not recognised as an internal or external command
I looked it up everywhere, people say it needs a vscode package or so, but nothing i've tried worked.
If someone has encountered the same problem i'll be glad to hear how you fixed it 😅

  33. @lullabot you missed my choice: #ProcessWire #openSource #php #cms

Was so easy to write content migration script from d7.

  34. I just need to share how refreshing #ProcessWire is to develop on after years of using #WordPress as a #CMS for @freehive clients. I thought I'd find reasons to still use WP. After three sites on ProcessWire? Nope. Give it a look: processwire.com/ (It's #OpenSource!)

#WebSencilla

  36. @tofeo @heybran
I agree that it's necessary to try it out first and compare with other frameworks.
I would also like to mention #CodeIgniter framework, it seems to be even lighter than #ProcessWire, but has a different approach (similar to frameworks like Laravel, but easier to learn and use, I really don't like Laravel for its complexity and size).

  37. Hey #ProcessWire folks, if I want to spin up a local ProcessWire site with Docker, which resource (blog/GitHub repo, etc) would you recommend for beginner?

  38. @tofeo
It's an interesting CMS for people who like to code things manually. Robust and very flexible. I haven't done much in it yet due to lack of time during summer, but you can have a look at this nice #ProcessWire intro. #PHP
