#frostpendeln heute in #Gütersloh war gut, hat Spaß gemacht. Die Radwege wurden geräumt, aber der Schnee landete kontinuierlich.
Heute war ich sehr froh, dass wir uns für die E-Unterstützung entschieden. So war auch das Pflügen durch den 10 cm hohen Schnee bei abgesenktem Sattel einfach.
Wir haben die Big Ben von Schwalbe drauf - ein Straßenreifen. Hat gereicht. Bei dem #LongJohn #Lastenrad (#Load60 von R+M) fährt es sich echt gut in solchen Verhältnissen.
Der lange Radstand gibt sooo viel Sicherheit:
1. Hinten Bremsen verzögert so stark, dass die Vorderbremse nicht gebraucht wird.
2. Wenn ein Rad rutscht, bricht es nur sehr langsam aus und
3. das Fahrrad kippt nur langsam.Auch bei bewusst blockierten Vorderrad kann man gut ein Meter rutschen, bevor die Front ausbricht. Nach Lösen der Bremse fängt es sich sofort wieder. Damit ist der Winter echt einfach zu meistern.

Fahrstrecke: 15km, 130 Höhenmeter. E-Antrieb diente huete nur als zusätzlicher Balast ;) -
@bikescape @ascentale A6: Wow, that's the first #longjohn conversion kit I hear of. I so far just knew about the #Xtracycle long-tail conversion kits and it's a pity they're not made anymore. Thanks for sharing!

This here is LONGJOHN. The longest computer I ever owned. I sold this dude years ago, and I still regret it. Such a handsome lad. I originally used it for 3D rendering, but now, I'd definitely make a NAS/PLEX server out of him.

So, da hier recht wenig Antworten kamen musste ich halt selbst testen und montierte vor ein paar Wochen Schwalbe Pick-Up Reifen in 55er Breite auf mein #LongJohn #Lastenrad (RM Load75).
Hier meine Erfahrungen im Vergleich zum Big Ben Plus gleicher Dimension.
Grund für den Wechsel waren zwei Platten innerhalb kurzer Zeit. Dumm gelaufen. Mein Lasti soll vor allem wartungsarm und zuverlässig funktionieren, deshalb der Versuch.

Hallo Fahrradbubble! Fährt hier jemande den Schwalbe Pick-Up auf dem #LongJohn #lastenrad und kann Erfahrungen berichten?
Ich verspreche mir besseren Pannenschutz und etwas mehr Grip bei Nässe und unbefestigten Wegen als mit dem Big Ben Plus.
Ist das realistisch?
