  1. "Niezwyciężony" to prawdopodobnie najsłynniejsza książka Stanisława Lema obok "Solaris" i "Bajek robotów". W 2023 roku otrzymaliśmy jej gradaptację w postaci debiutu studia Starward Industries złożonego m.in. z weteranów CD Projektu Red, Techlandu czy Bloober Teamu. Choć zebrała dobre oceny, niestety okazała się komercyjnym rozczarowaniem... i nietrudno zrozumieć, czemu do tego doszło.

No bo tak, The Invincible to symulator chodzenia.

The Invincible jednak najbardziej urzeka oprawą audiowizualną. Regis III oferuje zróżnicowane środowiska i obok rozmów trzon gry stanowi oglądanie przepięknych widoków.

  7. Welp, I took a look at the #Lem repo and it appears as though the authors are in love with LLMs. You know, I don't get it. #CommonLisp is a amazingly powerful language, writing code that writes code is as easy as typing defmacro. The editor is written in Common Lisp, a language that is *fun* to write. Why would you burn down a rainforest just to take all the fun out of programming? If you just want features, #Emacs exists and has every feature. Guess I'm back to using Emacs, lol.

  12. In dem gestern im Deutschen Theater Berlin gesehenen Stück EINE MINUTE DER MENSCHHEIT nach Stanislaw Lem gab es übrigens eine Figur namens Dr. Aileen Dopamin Roger - Expertin für modernes Leben und Ertragen.
Ich finde, das sollte man wissen...

So, ncurses and webview only now…? That’s quite a choice, I guess 🤔

  36. I spent some pleasant hours yesterday hacking on my #openbsd port
of #lem. The dependency on async-process led me to forking that
project and making a version which will build the .so it needs if it's
not one of the three pre-built so. I had to do the same with with the
    terminal extension in Lem itself.

The #quicklisp and #qlot tools are new to me, and I'm learning just
enough to be dangerous. I did run into an issue where a qlot git
dependency will break if the top level program, lem in this case, has
a .gitignore file. It appears that the qlot cloning will honor the
    parent gitignore.

All of this makes me very grateful for the work done on the
#commonlisp tooling over the last decade or so. It's also really
apparent how much this is all a gift, from others -- because the
community is so small. I have had to adjust my expectations, and it
made me realize just how much I take for granted in the software
ecosystem, and the level of polish and work I have come to feel
    entitled too.
