Короче, я прочитал «Основание» Азимова лет в четырнадцать и с тех пор не мог отделаться от одной мысли. Это почти, как родная шаурма в Белграде – неожиданно и приятно. Ну и я подумал, а что если попробовать? Не как метафору, а буквально. Взять психоисторию как техзадание и посмотреть, что получится. У меня получился Seldon Vault – сайт, который каждый день генерирует прогнозы о том, что произойдёт в мире, и потом честно считает, сколько раз угадал. Бесплатный, конечно же. Семь аналитиков, скептик и арбитр Архитектура Seldon устроена как аналитическое бюро, а не как один всезнающий оракул. Каждый день система собирает сигналы из десятка открытых источников – RSS-ленты мировых СМИ, Reddit, Telegram, Bluesky, предсказательные рынки (Polymarket, Metaculus), макроэкономика (FRED, Fear & Greed Index), базы конфликтов (ACLED, UCDP), катастрофы (GDACS) и геополитические события (GDELT). Первым их обрабатывает процессор сигналов – дешёвая модель (DeepSeek), которая классифицирует: это немедленная новость или структурный тренд? Важно или шум? Дальше отфильтрованные сигналы уходят параллельно семи аналитикам. Каждый смотрит на одни и те же данные через свою оптику:

I have no illusions that Oklahoma 's dismal education rankings will improve dramatically before my kid finishes high school...although it's nice to dream.

1. You have a perspective that allows you to see things others perhaps cannot see (yet). There is always some way one can exploit such a vantage point to weigh the dice, or adjust one's course a little, to one's relative advantage (to provide some little improvement in the future one would not likely have otherwise achieved). Agreed; hard to see with certainty how to save the world. I'd suggest we live in an age of great-power transition. At the risk of harking on about #Asimov 's #Foundation books, shortening the chaotic periods between stable peaceful periods of relatively democratic hegemony is probably the key.
2. Some #activitypub social media servers are structured to encourage users to moderate their own little gardens within them. The obvious example to me is #PieFed, a link aggregator. I suspect there's a way to leverage this to convey to users that they ought to assume that they alone are responsible for curating their "feeds" (I.E.: hopefully not leaving you to feel any or too much responsibility for it).
3. Would you like someone to suggest philosophy reading that might help, or at least entertain? There's a spectrum of interesting stuff out there from the very internal-locus-of-control #stoic texts, to the balanced conventional wisdom of modern medical textbooks, to the very hippy-dippy philosophies like spiritualism.I suspect there are other hashtags that would put the matter in front of more erudite minds for their consideration, but I'm ignorant of them. Happy to accept suggestions or boosts.

Dopo aver letto qualche anno fa "Storie della tua vita", sto leggendo ora "Respiro". #TedChiang è uno scrittore meraviglioso, con una non comune capacità di immaginare e raccontare storie, che utilizza la #fantascienza come i grandi, da #Asimov a #Lem (passando per #Dick): non un circo di astronavi, alieni e tecnologia futuristica più o meno verosimile, ma come allegoria per affrontare temi profondi, umanissimi e comuni della vita di ciascuno. Not science fiction — just evolution, with a bit of attitude.

📖 Done reading #Foundation (1951) by Isaac #Asimov.
Really liked the characters, the political intrigue and the world. I also enjoyed the kinda fragmented timeline with the short story format (I believe Asimov is known for that).
My favourite character must be Salvor #Hardin, with him even being in 2 stories (most characters are for one story only, them being 50 years or so apart). I also really liked Mallow.
The book cover is gorgeous too.
Next up: Ready Player One (Ernest Cline).

Hinzu kommt bei diesen rechtslibertären Milliardären (inkl. Peter Thiel) eine gefährliche Persönlichkeitsstörung, die jede Hemmung wegfallen lässt, selbst die globale Katastrophe herbeizuführen, um für einen Neuanfang nach ihrem Geschmack reinen Tisch zu schaffen.
Und viele der Visionen, die die Tech-Milliardäre antreiben, stammen aus einer bestimmten Art von Science-Fiction: libertären oder techno-oligarchischen Zukunftsentwürfen, die lange Zeit in der Popkultur nicht die Strahlkraft hatten, die sie heute besitzen. Heute, in einer Zeit, in der sich das Ende der Welt und die Flucht ins Weltall offenbar leichter vorstellen lässt als das Ende des Kapitalismus.
