For #MusicWomenWednesday, the killer new LP 'Plus Tax And' from new LA band CRV. Incredible synth lines. Things that made me go 'wow' in several songs. Kinda punk, a wild mix of Amyl and the Sniffers, DEVO, Add N to (X), The Cars, Blondie, Breeders, Pixies. A must hear.

#GrindayFriday for this week is Los Angeles powerviolence outfit APARTMENT 213 and their new EP from September, 'Glamour': https://apartment213.bandcamp.com/album/glamour

I love some good powerviolence, and this is probably some of the better I've heard. Among those classic barks and shouts of the vocals are some really great riffs and dynamics. Been playing a lot of this one recently.

Hot Ocean just put out another single, after 'Lavanderia' earlier this year. This one is 'Whole Lotta Fuck', and it's great, because of course it is- it's Hot Ocean.
