Time I do a #ThursDeath for the new LP 'Hostile Consuming Rapture' by Kyiv's SECTARIAN DEFACEMENT. This is such a wild record- made in Ukraine during the war. It's weird, jagged, unpleasant, and downright crushing. Plus, yknow, there's dripping and bells. It has it all.

A brutal, crushing #ThursDeath this week with debut LP 'Putrescence' by Toronto's COPROLITH. The riffs are relentless, the drums are pounding. The last song is the single, I listened to a ton of it before this came out, and it still strikes me how great it is every time I hear it. What an amazing record. Cavernous as fuck. Easily one of my favorite metal records this year so far.

#ThursDeath this week is new LP 'Deracinated into Soiled Reliquaries' by one man Mammoth Lakes, California death/black metal project CABINET. This is a disgusting slab with churning, chugging, dripping, burbling, roaring, monk-like chanting, and piano melodies- and then back to face-smashing riffs. Muck and grime galore. If the gross, nasty riff in track 4 doesn't get you, nothing will. Has to be heard to be fully appreciated.

#ThursDeath this week is awesome new LP 'Flesh of Chaos' by death/thrash (mostly death) outfit CYCLOPIC. Cyclopic only has a couple members, they hail from a mix of Kazakhstan, Russia, and Germany. This is a cool record - maybe Obituary vibes, and I feel like I also some Morbid Angel or other OSDM stuff. And how about that cover art. 🔥

New Social D record next year (May 2026, no day announced yet)-- their first in 15 years. I've always kinda had a soft spot for the D. Hearing some of the new songs they've been playing live and I dig em. Supposedly the first single will come out next month (January).
