Kvaesito has to be one of the prettiest launcher I've used yet, I don't usually post home screen pics but this just looks to nice not to post.

#NovaLauncher is adding more trackers to its latest version? After many years of paid usage, I'm switching launchers on #Android.

It might be a change for the better, as I'm giving #Kvaesitso a try. It's licensed under GPL-3.0-or-later and available on F-Droid.

Das neue Handy war der Anlass, endlich Alternativen zum #NovaLauncher auszuprobieren, bevor der Launcher den Bach runtergeht.

- Der #NiagaraLauncher ist ohne Kauf oder Abo nur ein stylischer App Drawer ohne weitere Funktion.

- Der #Kvaesitso Launcher könnte für mich funktionieren. Aber ohne sortierte Apps, in Ordnern oder hier Tags, ist er witzlos. Die Apps in Tags zu sortieren ist ungenügend und maßlos frustrierend. Eine nachträgliche Bearbeitung der Tag-Inhalte ist scheinbar auch nicht möglich. Somit für mich unbrauchbar, wenn ich praktisch jede App über die Suche starten muss.

- #Lawnchair habe ich erst gar nicht ausprobiert. Er ist Beta.

Ich bin kurz davor doch wieder den #NovaLauncher zu installieren. 🤷‍♂️

So since #Google won't tell me why it considers the #Kvaesitso public transport plugin as "Harmful", as it blocks #fdroid from updating it, can anyone here shed some light on it?

Is there any harmful code in the plugin, or the upstream library that the plugin wraps around called "public-transport-helper"? I'd really like to know.

And I got a Google Play Protect popup message warning "harmful app detected".

It gave no further details about why this app is harmful.

Does anyone know if this app is harmful? If so how?

Or is this Google being a monopolist and blocking competing open source apps?

@chris I use #kvaesitso but it only has a customizable main page and a full app list, no folders.

@Androidauth When I was looking for an #Android launcher, found that #novalauncher is not #opensource and not available in #F-Droid thus instead opted for #Kvaesitso launcher which is still under active development: github.com/MM2-0/Kvaesitso

Apparently that was the correct choice 👍

@holm Private Space wird in der Nightly von Lawnchair seit Monaten unterstützt, ebenso in vielen anderen, z.B. #Kvaesitso.

#Shelter hat nix damit zu tun, das verwaltet nur zu einem ähnlichen Zweck Arbeitsprofile. Und Private Space funktioniert dort ebenso. Was konkret fehlt dir da bzgl Shelter?

It's a Free Software project that started in '19 & is a multifunctional-search launcher. It is very customizable & powerful using gestures, tags & launchable app actions. Also there are useful widgets.

I love that you can customize all icons in #kvaesitso . If your icon pack doesn't contain a specific icon, you can just replace it, same goes for #webapps , just replace the ugly ones with proper icons.

Juste une capture d'écran de mon launcher Android du moment, #Kvaesitso, parce que je le trouve épuré, élégant et (faussement) simple.

Les apps les plus utilisées apparaissent en bas, la zone de recherche est surpuissante (recherches internet, dans les contacts, dans les évènements de l'agenda, calculatrice, etc.). Un swap vers le haut révèle les widgets qu'on a choisi d'y mettre...

Et en plus c'est open source et gratuit :)
