Hab gestern auf den @lawnchairapp Launcher umgestellt und gleichmal das Icon-Pack von @mondstern verwendet. Wie schön!

I finally got off my lazy ass and deleted Nova Launcher off of my phone now that they added Facebook trackers to it. :blobcorgimeltsob:​ I know I should've done it way sooner but I've used Nova for like a decade so it was hard to say goodbye.

I switched to Lawnchair and it's been pretty nice. :blobyeengrin:​ I miss being able to have my default screen be in the middle instead of all the way to the left, but I got Neo Feed working so now if I swipe to the left at least something is there.

As with many of you, I've been using Nova on #android for a long time, and was dismayed to see that its new owners have added ads to the launcher. It seems that Lawnchair is a popular place for Nova refugees to land, so I'm giving that a try. Didn't take more than about 5 minutes to get the basic home screen comfortable for me, so that's a good sign. We'll see how it goes.

@gimsieke Ich habe fast alles in Ordnern/Kategorien geordnet. So komme mit 2 schnellen Klicks zu jeder App. Hübscher und einfacher ist dieses System, wenn ich die Ordner mit einem Icon maskieren kann.

Nach #Jahresurlaub jetzt auch noch der #NovaLauncher, der nicht mehr weiterentwickelt wird. Und die Firma hält sich auch nicht an seine Abmachung mit dem Hauptentwickler, die App #OpenSource zu machen.

Ich käme mit #LawnChair klar, aber meine App-Gruppen wieder alle einzustellen wird ewig dauern. Leider hat noch keiner einen Import aus der Nova-Backup-Datei implementiert, bzw. die Issues werden alle geschlossen. Das Format ist einfach eine zip mit sqlite-, xml- und txt-Datei, also theoretisch alles leicht auslesbar.
#SmartLauncher hat in der Beta-Version einen Import eingebaut. Werde ich mal testen.

Gibt es eine App, die mich auf installierte abandoned apps hinweist? Brauche ich anscheinend. 🥲

@UkiahSmith Yeah, switching from one non-FOSS app to another is not a good option, I agree. But all I tried barely do folders at this point.

#FossifyLauncher is extremely bare bones.

The last update for #NeoLauncher was almost two years ago.

#Lawnchair (the new one) seems the most promising, or at least the most active. It now has folders in the app drawer and on the desktop, but they are not connected. Why?!

I keep them all to check updates, but nothing even half as good as Nova exists yet.

This past weekend, I upgraded at #SaskTel from a #Samsung #s10e to a #Google #Pixel9. Here are the #Fdroid apps I have installed so far:

升级到 Lineage OS 20（A13），发现 Lawnchair 和 Android 13 的 QuickSwitch 并不兼容，找了半天也没找到合用的 Launcher，现在只能不开 QuickStep 用着。
