No time tonight for more than that, but I'm feeling more positive now and ready to block in higher contrast highlights (hopefully tomorrow) and make some more progress.

Today the LED lights for lighting up the inside of the buildings on my model railway were delivered, meaning I can finally start building some of them! First up is the main station - a ticket office and a parcel depot (Metcalfe kits) on a 1500mm long platform.

The weekend project. I wanted to experiment with using 3D printed parts on Gunpla. For this I modded a EG Gundam into a Gundam Ground type. Instead of making accurate measurements, I just printed out some parts and slapped them on using putty so I could adjust the angle. It's slightly crooked, but I dont think it'll be noticeable once it's in the final pose and diorama.

The backpack comes from a 30MM accessory pack and the 180mm cannon is also a 3D print.

My submission for the Gunpla Builders World Cup (GBWC) 2025. I kitbashed this out of a single HG Petitguy, a 1/35 figure head and a lot of putty.

I used some leftover Maschienen Krieger decals since the designs are inspired by that aesthetic.

It looked terribly out of place between the more traditional Gundam entries.

The lint trap and screen on an LG dryer. Stray lint, sand and other debris end up packing down into the bottom of the lint trap, beneath the screen, and keep it from properly seating. Then the top corners protrude, and snag strings and laces on clothes.

The extension nozzle on a hand vacuum won't go in. You can't get the right angle, it's too wide, and it's not long enough to reach to the bottom anyway.

TA-DA!!! An AARDVARK NOZZLE made from $10 worth of plumbing parts easily reaches all the way down to the bottom of the filter slot.

(Please ignore the mess and clutter next to the dryer. It's just something I have to endure.)

So lets begin with a little documenting journey around here.
I started out with #wh40k and the #tyranids since I really am into insects and the #grimmdarkfuture . Anyhow the #nids themselfes where not #insectoide enough in my taste. So I quite instantly started #kitbashing and used my skills with #3dprinting . I even am sculpting some in my 3d-software myself. But later on you will see more of that and my #onepagerules journey.

What do you think about nids? Not insect enough? Too much bug?

I have a large assortment of vintage toys collected for #MountainTownToys

Mostly these are things that are reasonably common that I plan to sell. A few of them are more rare, and I will be attempting to duplicate these and sell the reproductions.

I have also made a fair amount of progress on making our own toys, using a combination of newly manufactured parts, old parts, and parts that we've duplicated from other toys.

This, I guess, isn't technically #kitbashing but it's close enough.
