Calling these three done. A Blood Angels Librarian from Space Hulk, Bob the Berzerker (Blood Claw based on a favourite mini I had in second edition) and a lineman in a weird colour scheme I wanted to try based on the Hoonigan Brataroo car.

In totally-not-avoiding-awkward-details stage for the Howling Griffons, I've also picked back up my custom wolf lord kitbash and put some base colours down, along with the pink under-layers for the yellow pauldrons.

Bob will live again!
One of my oldest miniatures: given the heroic name ‘Bob the Berserker’ in a large-scale game in the Metrocentre Games Workshop one day in the 90s after single-handedly destroying a whole enemy unit.
I recently decided to try recreating him with the new Blood Claws and a jump pack I got from Etsy. Just put it together this evening and I’m pretty happy with the evolution.
Now to paint it… 😬

I’m working on another kitbash modelling project. It’s got all the details done, with the next steps being refinement and so so much sanding.

@erikcats I ran a wash of Iyanden Yellow over the whole armour which has it looking better already.No time tonight for more than that, but I'm feeling more positive now and ready to block in higher contrast highlights (hopefully tomorrow) and make some more progress.

Getting to the scary bit now: adding highlights for the NMM effect.
Who knows how this is gonna turn out! I’ve chosen such a complex model for a first attempt, but I’ve gone far enough that I’ll give it a good go.

I had the silly/perhaps unoriginal idea of trying to recreate the Yndrasta pose from the Dominion rule book cover art.
I’m not going to get anywhere close to a replica but I’m pretty pleased with this so far as an inspired-by pose.
Still not sure whether to keep her attached to the tree her cape is molded to, or to cut it out and build a totally new scene. I also need to choose something(s) for her to be attacking.

Today the LED lights for lighting up the inside of the buildings on my model railway were delivered, meaning I can finally start building some of them! First up is the main station - a ticket office and a parcel depot (Metcalfe kits) on a 1500mm long platform.

The weekend project. I wanted to experiment with using 3D printed parts on Gunpla. For this I modded a EG Gundam into a Gundam Ground type. Instead of making accurate measurements, I just printed out some parts and slapped them on using putty so I could adjust the angle. It's slightly crooked, but I dont think it'll be noticeable once it's in the final pose and diorama.
The backpack comes from a 30MM accessory pack and the 180mm cannon is also a 3D print.

My submission for the Gunpla Builders World Cup (GBWC) 2025. I kitbashed this out of a single HG Petitguy, a 1/35 figure head and a lot of putty.
I used some leftover Maschienen Krieger decals since the designs are inspired by that aesthetic.
It looked terribly out of place between the more traditional Gundam entries.

The lint trap and screen on an LG dryer. Stray lint, sand and other debris end up packing down into the bottom of the lint trap, beneath the screen, and keep it from properly seating. Then the top corners protrude, and snag strings and laces on clothes.
The extension nozzle on a hand vacuum won't go in. You can't get the right angle, it's too wide, and it's not long enough to reach to the bottom anyway.
TA-DA!!! An AARDVARK NOZZLE made from $10 worth of plumbing parts easily reaches all the way down to the bottom of the filter slot.
(Please ignore the mess and clutter next to the dryer. It's just something I have to endure.)

Newly on my #Modelrailway: a half-relief background building in H0 scale. I wanted a dull building. Based upon a cheap kit from China instead of an expensive fancy #Kit from Germany. #Kitbashing for half the price.
