Calling these three done. A Blood Angels Librarian from Space Hulk, Bob the Berzerker (Blood Claw based on a favourite mini I had in second edition) and a lineman in a weird colour scheme I wanted to try based on the Hoonigan Brataroo car.

Sometimes I feel old but today the reason for this feeling was trying look for the Space Hulk computer game on both GoG and Steam and finding the new one.
On Steam it was called Space Hulk (Classic). Still it's not the classic Space Hulk game from 1993 which is apprently impossible to get anymore. (I seem to have misplaced my cd-rom version and I'm not sure how easy it'd be to get to run anyway.)
Yeah yeah it's almost 35 years old.
Making a little more progress with the terminator librarian.
I also tried weathering pencils for the first time tonight and I can see how useful they can be in specific use cases.
Slight change of theme, painting this Blood Angel librarian from Space Hulk, Brother Calistarius.
I fancied painting a deep red Blood Angel but realised I’d only primed the librarian so far, so mostly blue it is.
It's a pretty short (and rather simple) video tutorial that I have for you this month... but it's an effective one I think :)

Lots of grey plastic in this one — hastily constructed Phobos vs. Blades of Khaine. A hilarious bloodbath of a game, thoroughly recommend this matchup of two teams where every activation ruins someone’s day.
10-9 to the Space Marines — one model left each, and went down to the last activation!

Spent last weekend building / roughly painting the #Gallowdark terrain that's been on the shelf for months, for a #KillTeam game this weekend. Was a great game – my Bone Brigade AoD against the Legionaries the boy built last week. Really swingy and brutal – the close quarters environment makes for a very different game, and obviously we bought very different versions of these teams.
(Also spent a good chunk of last week printing an alternate version of this terrain, with magnets for quick assembly – a decision that seems absolutely justified after it took me an hour to set up this simple layout..)

Of course the first problem with my Genestealer Cult expansion idea is I don’t know where my space hulk genestealers are. I found the game and the terminators. So that’s progress. And I know a section of the garage they aren’t in. 😅

That looks like funnnnnn! #gaming #geforcenow #SpaceHulk
I love the astroid in Armageddon. It's like a #SpaceHulk from #40k. Like if Bruce had dug a little deeper he would have found out the explosions are from #orks just hucking bombs at each other, not knowing their about to crash. Or they do know and are doing it because it's funny. (j t b) #wh40k #Warhammer40000
OK then... the next 'pipes' video tutorial is filmed... and should (hopefully) be out sometime next week (fingers crossed).

#spacehulk bloody hell, you can't find the Deathwing expansion under £200. I think I used to have it as I still have some of the models.
More #spacehulk this evening. I’d played well on mission 2 as marines but ultimately failed. Henry worked out a far better strategy on his turn as marines and destroyed me. That’s 1:0 to him so far. He’s loving it so expect more updates.
Look what I just pulled out of the attic #WarHamFam
I converted the Terminators way back when I first got it, then it went in the attic when we moved
Packing for a few days off. Lots of geeky stuff: #DnD and #CyberpunkRED books, #SpaceHulk (so I can remember how to play the game), #DragonBane boxed set (so I can learn the game, and play the solo adventure), and a ton of movies for #MonsterWeek (yeah, it's coming back ... eventually).
My latest #scifi terrain tutorial (using paper printouts and bits of card/foam) is live...
should be useful for games like #necromunda #spacehulk #boardingactions #killteam #starfinder #stargrave #5parsecs #traveller ...maybe even #warhammer #40k in general
One last pic of the new sci-fi #terrain before I start work on the video tutorial...
(it's coming together nicely I think :) )

Another quick look at the upcoming wall sections (you can also see one of the screens attached to the back wall in this pic):

Not sure if many folks will be interested - but here's an animated gif showing how I build up the details, layer by layer, when designing the 'textures' for my print & paste terrain.
(note that this is meant to be a kind of access ladder that's recessed into a wall - the kind of thing that leads up and/or down to maintenance tunnels or similar :) )

Here's a quick look at one of the ways that the new #scifi walls can be put to use...

Scanlined Space Marines! Four snaps of Space Hulk: Vengeance of the Blood Angels' intro, PSX version. Some classic artwork here that I remember from the Deathwing expansion for 1st edition Space Hulk and appearing in White Dwarf.
A solid sequel to the '93 DOS and Amiga Space Hulk game - one that that first appeared on 3DO and was one of the better games on it.
2nd Edition Space Hulk would have just been coming out when the PS1 versions hit shelves, so a good time for a port.

Finally starting to get somewhere with the #scifi wall textures...

Another update on the sci-fi walls :)
I still need to add some details to the centre panel of the bottom strip, and both need a bit of grime added - but I'm getting there slowly 😅

I was up in the attic today (digging out some of that crappy white polystyrene stuff that I have saved - for a crafting project)... and while I was up there, I thought I'd take a couple of photo's of some old treasures :)
(note that some of this is second hand stuff that I got a hold of when I first discovered ebay 🙂 )
