Playing around with more 30 Minutes Missions. A single 30MM kit is rather boring. But the real fun is kitbashing them together into your own custom mechs. The standardised joints and 3mm pegs really lower the bar of entry for kitbashing. Instead of glue and putty, you can just snap them together and try different combinations. It's basically mecha lego.

This was made from parts from 4 of the support vehicle kits which I accumulated over time. Very Marauder inspired.

This was a neat kit to build. Almost a surreal experience to clip a display runner out of an actual runner. The last image is a scan of the parts list, just to demonstrate how much goes into the display.

I managed to find the 30th Anniversary reissue of the 1/144 Dougram kits. These were the kits that originally inspired Battletech and were sold as Battletech kits by Twentieth-Century Imports. It's a set of 10 kits: 2 Shadow Hawks, 2 Griffins, 2 Wolverines, Thunderbolt, Battlemaster, Scorpion and Goliath.

I’ve tried to be good and not buy any new model kits, but I can’t resist it when Volks put up new resin kits. Well… SAV kits anyhow. The Gothic Made kits are very expensive!

I managed to get an SR4! I love the design of the SR mechs, so I’m glad to have another. This one might jump to the top of my painting projects.

I went into this kit expecting extra work, but the result was worth it. It even came with an extra shield (from the Unicorn mode?). I do wish it came with some basic beams for the sabers and tonfas, though.

I finally assembled the #figurerisestandardamplified Blue-Eyes White Dragon. It's been a good couple of months for assembling my "wishlist" kits; I've wanted this one since I started the hobby.

Definitely be careful on the wing attachment joints. I snapped one and had to repair it with plastic glue and wire.

HG Demi Barding

I love this kit. I'll do a full photoshoot when I finish painting some bits from the Demi Trainer Expansion Parts set, but the little drone backpack is definitely a highlight. It even doubles as shoulder cannons, which are always nice.

I actually used every sticker, so the only paint is the panel lining and some silver behind the mono-eye.
