The worst bit was receiving absolutely no email, and then hearing from colleagues that "oh, the approval emails have stopped - now they are only sending rejections" #JWSTCycle2

Aaaaand there's a rejection.
I went 4/4 last year, and had 2 successes before a rejection came in this year. I don't know if it's an unbeatable record, but, especially considering it started in Cycle 1, temporarily going 6-for-6 was a pretty great start. #JWSTCycle2

Any ideas as to which science instrument got the most #JWSTCycle2 helpdesk tickets? 👀 (total tickets in the 2 months before the cycle 2 deadline, so could also include those from existing programs)

Interesting #jwstcycle2 helpdesk stats: we actually got fewer tickets than for cycle 1 over the 2-month period before the deadline. I hope this means we did a decent job at providing the tools, training and documentation to help everyone!

Reports coming in that it broke 4350 just before the deadline. #JWSTCycle2

#JWST #JWSTCycle2 proposals broke into the 4300's. It was at ~2900 on Wednesday, so, assuming ~100 submissions prior to that, we're looking at ~1500 submissions? Cycle 1 had 1,173 proposals make it to Peer Review.
