My hard drive was switching to read only and throwing errors at my face, so I read fsck's manpage and fixed the thing with `sudo fsck -C -V -r /dev/sda1`

I have never been one for detective games, but The Sinking City is really scratching an itch and forcing me to use my brain more (mostly in a good way). I do need to seach things time to time when I hit the wall to hard, and have trouble with the combat (nott he games fault), but overall I find it...a good overall horror detectibe experience.

Time to go to sleep though. The latest boss battle took me far too long to do...

Well today I figured out the hard way, that going out on a 10K run in 6 degC means I can't really run to a friend's kids' football game 4kms away and then continue running after cheering him for 15 minutes. If I am dressed for running only, letting my body cool, means I can't really pickup where you left off and run the remaining 6Kms. I crashed and burned 2kms after restarting... had a 3.5Km walk of shame back! #running #noob

Some months ago I decided that migrating my systems from Microsoft to a Linux OS is the next step in my quest to loosen techno-feudalism's grip on my life. Thought I'd start small with my ancient Netbook so as not to be without (read: screw up) my desktop for too long...

So, after a morning down the Linux rabbit hole, I'm facing an install (correct term?) of a tiny dispo (learning new words) that'll run on my 32-bit, 1.00 GB system. I figure, if I can make that work, migrating my newer desktop system will be a cinch.

I FINALLY DID IT!!! I shut off the SNAP WINDOWS on 'windows 10'. Not sure why I haven't been able to do it before this... This has been years coming!

Pretty sure everyone already knew how to do this. I feel a weight lifted from my computer screen. No more 'active-onboard-harrassment'.

Now, if only I could figure out how to turn off the auto-comment thing in Vi on Git-Bash. It's the last 'feature' that still lingers...
