These polls are the quickest way to live through all possible emotions at once. They always surprise me. Within just a day, I went from being disheartened to being grateful. It's sobering to know your actions change very little, but it's also liberating. Thank you to those who tried IWL. Thank you so much to everyone who voted and reposted. I feel like I see things more clearly now. Now I just have to last through six more days of this enlightening experience 😅.

When you type the symbols that come in pairs: an opening one and a closing one, I Write Like adds the closing one automatically.

I've never used this dark teal theme before, btw, but somehow when this spring came it started to feel perfect for the eyes.

I always use the Analyze tool on the finished draft. Mostly because it's fun, but also because I track changes in my writing style this way.

I need this tool the way singers need those in-ear monitors. You have to hear your own voice. You can't get this type of feedback unless you have a special tool. I Write Like has become my thinking space. I use it for any piece of text that comes to mind. I've read about authors using particular pens, notepads and settings to write, and could never relate to that. Once a thought came, I would just need to get it out, regardless of the medium. I think with time my brain developed a strong connection between looking at the IWL layout and writing. Now, whenever I see IWL, I form my thoughts faster.

I was asked how I Write Like differs from other markdown text editors. Here's the info in case you are also interested:
- IWL opens in the browser and doesn't need signing in: just navigate and type (no accounts at all).
- It has lots of tools for text analysis and transforms.
- Its typewriter mode is better than the rest.
- You can import and export Word documents. -

Here is some news about I Write Like: its new feature allows you to preserve single line breaks in the preview. You can use the toggle and type your poem in a neat column without any extra Markdown. The blog post shows how it looks.

Today I upgraded to the premium version of I Write Like. I'm happy that it's a great compliment to my writing process for the blog, and elsewhere.

I've been bashing away on the keyboard and have written a review of I Write Like.
An amazing writing tool, which I now use to do much of my blogging and editing/proof reading before publishing. I can even do it offline in my browser.
