This is one of those albums where the cover art is incredibly misleading. No clowns are involved, it’s not creepy, there’s no punk rock or metal sounds that match the title. The cover, well, it’s immaterial.

What does it sound like then? I honestly have no idea. This album is all over the place, and I’d kind of have to draw different comparisons for every song. Intellectual art pop? Is that a thing? Like if Talk Talk and/or The Blue Nile was mixed with Talking Heads, in some ratio or another, perhaps with a dash of The Police? Well, maybe not The Police. I don’t know, just listen to it and let me know what this is. Or don’t and give wrong answers only based on the cover. Because life is hard and clowns are scary.
