  1. @amcewen Yes, if the glue is water-based (avoiding much VoC and pals) I suppose it almost has to be. For me, 16kg is 16/25ths of a bag of coal. %-P

  2. If you want to get better at reading between the lines, #observe the #space. You know those #intuitions you've had, you can have them constantly. You can. #God is not stingy. Let's get back to the freaking experts that aren't experts. Infinity matters more than #entire #practice of physics & math.

  4. [2/3] It's not showing how remote viewing can explain #UFOs. It's not showing remote viewing at all, so far.

    Post #Newton, #science & #philosophical thought require #math & other #technologies that extend our #human senses & capabilities — #radioastronomy for example. These methods reach beyond our #biases, #intuitions & other limitations.

  7. There's a #debate in #ExperimentalPhilosophy (#xPhi) about whether #intuitions about philosophical thought experiments are "stable" (vs. manipulable).

Some (e.g., @xphilosophy) seem convinced of stability—e.g., because some replications of instability results and new experiments find #pValues > 0.05.

Alexander & Weinberg express a different view (philpapers.org/rec/ALEPMP). I agree that the debate needs parties to agree on a smallest effect size of interest.
