Aftermarket Afterlife is the 13th book in Seanan McGuire's InCryptid series of urban fantasy stories about the Price family of cryptozoologists. It is far from the point you should start reading the series, despite being an excellent entry in the series. Because of the new book coming out Tuesday centering my favorite character in the series, I started catching up with the last couple InCryptid books.
10% through Aftermarket Afterlife and really liking Mary as narrator. Also, the end of this drive I'm sure is going to see some stuff hit the fan.

Oof. I've spent some considerable time these last few days decrypting, sorting, renaming and tagging the book I've accrued on Kobo through Humble Bundle.
The #TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles comics were the most work, since converting those to cbz archives and joining all the two-page spreads.
And I just now finished the near-complete #Discworld #novel collection by #TerryPratchett and #SeananMcGuire's very much incomplete #InCryptid and #OctoberDaye series.
So now I just have to actually read 'em.

Seanan McGuire/InCryptid fans! It might not be up yet for all Libby/Overdrive users, but the latest InCryptid novel, Aftermarket Afterlife, has a sample already posted for my library even though I can't place a hold yet for the book. So you might want to go check if you're also waiting on the release?

Taking a break from my #Discworld re-read to devour @seananmcguire 's newest #Incryptid novel because I love this family of cryptozoologists so much.

Continuing my 2022 #books thread.
During the summer and early fall, I binge read the entire #OctoberDaye series by Seanan McGuire. It helped me through stressful times. In addition to chosen family, it also has main character who has a talent for chaos (in the best way) which was oddly comforting.I then went on to binge read McGuire's #Incryptid series. Talk about found families! I liked the most recent books in the series the best because I identified more with the characters.

@hsl I pretty much pre-order/pre-reserve #TobyDaye books. Took me 3 or 4 books in to get into #incryptid . There’s one other series where I liked the first book, but not any of the subsequent ones.
