  1. @DaNanner At this stage I’ll watch almost anything with Viola and Octavia in it #TopTalent

@DaNanner It's newish, just out this past fall. I only new about it because I followed the author's #NapMinistry account on Twitter. I just finished it and it is hecking eye-opening. She frames the issue as political--originating in capitalism, white supremacy, patriarchy, ableism >> grind culture. When we rest we're striking, refusing to be owned (literally, if you're Black)/exploited--and *that's" why it's so hard. Not an individual psychological issue but political, racial, gendered etc.

  7. @Dananner I definitely felt that in the middle of the quarter-long, book-a-week challenge I was doing last quarter. At first I was on a roll, reading a bunch of William Gibson, but I ran out of steam and started flailing trying to find other books to read. I also have a huge list of "to reads" that I started writing out just recently. #NeverEnding

  8. Sometimes while browsing the #localtimeline I feel like I'm the most active human poster on mastodon.coffee next to @DaNanner and I know that just can't possibly be true. Sometimes I feel this is the ass end of the #fediverse.

  9. Made it! Traffic from Rozzie was not horrendous, found a parking spot, and have a front row seat to see @scalzi #WhenTheMoonHitsYourEye #bookstodon #boston

  10. Had to take Scooby to both a dog beach AND a dog park to get him to the point where he is knocked out before dinner. 303/210 minutes. #tractive #tractivedoggps #dogsofmastodon #beagle

  14. @Shelter1971 if you are referring to the Seanan McGuire #InCryptid crossroads … are you caught up on the series? Or can I not make a snarky remark about that family?

  15. @hsl I pretty much pre-order/pre-reserve #TobyDaye books. Took me 3 or 4 books in to get into #incryptid . There’s one other series where I liked the first book, but not any of the subsequent ones.

  16. Going to start a new show and wait for the BF to make me start it over. Or maybe finish my Downton Abbey rewatch. Or start one of my latest library reads. Though I should probably eat something. Not supposed to live on coffee and seltzer alone. #AnalysisParalysis
