Welcome to #IKMZ, Prof. Dr. Meg Jing Zeng! 🥳
As of today, Dr. Zeng takes up the new professorship for #Computational #Social #Science at our department. She is a renowned expert on the sociocultural implications of #digital technologies and innovative digital #methods for #communication research. Dr. Zeng has published key studies on digital media #platforms, #misinformation, youth culture, and online #activism 📚

Welcome at @IKMZ, @ulrikeklinger! This semester, Prof. Ulrike Klinger will be a guest #professor at the #IKMZ.
She is Professor for #Digital #Democracy at the @ens at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), focusing on the transformation of digital publics and the role of #technology in democratic societies 📱
She is also an Associate Researcher @Weizenbaum_Institut, was @freieuniversitaet – and worked for many years at our department. Great to have you back for the next months!🙌🏻

Fostering #community and #mindfulness: Recently, the first PhD #retreat of the IKMZ took place, with 11 of our #PhD students from five different teams attending.
They discussed various aspects of their PhDs: Challenges and achievements – as well as #mindfulness. Jana Sedlakova (@uzh) joined the retreat to give a #workshop on hands-on mindfulness practices. The retreat was a great event to strengthen the #IKMZ PhD community - thanks everyone who was part of this! 🫱🏻🫲🏽

The IKMZ goes artsy: Our administration, IT, and #teaching team met for a great workshop – and #coproduced a beautiful painting of the #IKMZ logo. It will soon decorate the interiors of our department 🧑🎨
The logo has probably never been presented so beautifully 😉
