Have you ever found you into a #subculture or political scene to find out that there are existing hierarchies that are taken for granted?
Hierarchies that rely heavily on people being coerced to adopt the #hegemonic opinion - whether it is about what bands to like or not, what opinions to have on myriad issues or what to think about people you've never met nor know nothing about.
There's lot of that energy in #mastodon at the moment and as always, it's disguised as something else entirely.
