I'm sure at some point I've suggested somewhere that there's some sense in treating the run of settlements along the #GreatOuse from #StIves to #Brampton (and onwards to #StNeots if you're feeling optimistic) as a single "Ouse Valley Urban Area". They're all fairly interlinked, have many similarities and would benefit from a unified voice, especially in the context of local government reorganization. #OuseValley #OuseValleyUrbanArea #Huntingdon #Godmanchester

I remember the #floods in #Evesham in the early 2000s when things like that happened.There are #marinas on the #GreatOuse that have #floodpoles permanently in position so boats don't get work their way #ashore like that in flood conditions.
My own boat is a Hampton Safari, something a little like yours, and I'm working on a Safari history site. Here's a typical marina image from the site.
