Remember that hot weekend at the end of May? This is where I cooled off, along with seemingly half of Leeds - no wetsuit needed while circumnavigating Bower's Lake as it nestled among the buttercups and reeds. Sadly contained the inevitable strewn drinks containers. #MySwim 1/6

Astonished, on popping into ditch in grazing marsh on way to Little Ouse by @[email protected] Lakenheath Fen to find it absolutely carpeted in writhing mass of creatures reminiscent of tiny garden eels; in fact unglamorously named Sludge Worms (Tubifex tubifex). #MySwim #WormWednesday 1/19
