Abbott weiß also, wer welche Sensoren hat. Ich erwarte bei einem solchen Produkt und einer möglichen gesundheitlichen Gefahr, eine Info von Abbott. Egal ob meine Sensoren betroffen sind oder nicht.

  2. It’s been a while since I last posted, so here’s a quick update. I’ve changed universities because my next subject wasn’t offered for several months. I’m now studying a Master of Mental Health Practice and a Master of Counselling, which is an excellent fit. I’ll be able to register with professional counselling bodies upon graduation. I start Monday, and both degrees together will take about three years to complete.

I’ve also begun volunteering with several online peer support groups, which has been meaningful and rewarding.

Health-wise, I recently met with a diabetes educator and started using the Freestyle Libre. It’s impressively accessible with its companion app, which is fantastic for independence. Unfortunately, it isn’t subsidised in Australia for people with type 2 diabetes. At $104 a fortnight, it’s unaffordable long term, so I’m exploring whether I can get it funded through the NDIS once my two-week trial ends.

On a brighter note, I’ve joined a gym program and am absolutely loving the equipment and the sense of progress. It feels empowering to see physical health and mental wellbeing come together so clearly.

  3. From @[email protected], talking about the first continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump, invented by Dr. Ernst Friedrich Pfeiffer. We've come a long, long way with our #Dexcom and #FreestyleLibre devices.

  4. @nycki96 If you navigate to the menu, select “Alarms,” and then choose “Signal Loss Alarm.” By setting it to “Off,” this should resolve the issue. #FreeStyleLibre

  7. PSA for #Android users who also have a #FreestyleLibre CGM.

As a member of Team Pixel, I get updates early. This is a mixed blessing because it means we also get to uncover the bugs.

Since downloading Android 14, my FSL2's connection to the app has been spotty at best. The NFC is fine, but the alarm function is severely reduced (it connects some of the time but mostly it's just "alarms unavailable"). FSL3 may also be affected. :boost_requested:

  8. How seriously should I take the FreeStyle Libre sensor expiration date?

The box says it expired on 8/31/23 😞

I'm not diabetic, I have problems with hypoglycemia. Tagging with #diabetes since pw/ diabetes are the experts on #glucose monitoring.

  9. My #FreestyleLibre was briefly able to provide minute-by-minute BG updates on my phone, but I updated my Android this morning and that's now stopped - it keeps showing SIGNAL LOSS and I've had to go back to scanning the thing up-close. Any other #t1d people seeing this?

  10. #FreeStyleLibre new sensor, scanned it to activate. But now it is not scannable anymore. 🤬 nothing nada noppes…tried with two iPhones.

  11. FFS, even GitHub app has a Lock Screen widget, but does #freestylelibre ? Nope!
They now have Bluetooth updates so no need to scan, so a Lock Screen widget to show current blood sugar is a no brainier. But sadly not. Shame. #diabetes

  12. @dborch @bkastl

  13. Fuck blood sugar!
OK rude, sorry, but it can sooooo make no sense. Today I finally have a stable but high level after some food at lunch time, and I bet over night I'll be bloody hypo again.
What is extra annoying is right now I am hungry!
