I LOVE @fosstodon. Once I have a proven trackrecord with running an IRC server, I wouldn't mind hosting a #fostodon channel on my IRC server, if that sounds reasonable.

𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡, we have an important # Element .io (#Matrix client) application already built. But it has a bug (or configuration error) that prevents email invites from directing a new user to a particular chat room. Volunteers have not helped solve it.

We are willing to pay for someone with the experience needed to fix it. It’s probably fairly simple for such folks. Can you or someone you know please help us (or recommend more tags for this post)?

Found an issue with setting up a Pi with my #MastoCloud code.

Looks like Pillow and Workdcloud need building from Source.

Ok - I've had time to think :)

So, I'm guessing that because I didn't set post visibilities to Unlisted, that everyone in my #Fostodon instance saw my #Strictly toots tonight and that this upset some of my fellow instance members and they reported my posts (as they didn't have anything to do with anything techy) - and then a bot/moderator pressed the trigger to delete my posts and send me the not very nice email.

This #preprint #mathbio stems from our 2021 workshop and hacakthon. Inês Gonçalves, David Hormuth II, Sandhya Prabhakaran, and Caleb M. Phillips They made an extension for calibrating and optimizing #AgentBasedModels written with PhysiCell.

I’ve been a Twitter user for more than 10 years at this point and remember when the world wasn’t all algorithms. I’m looking forward to returning to a chronological timeline and less advertising. What do you think of the argument that it makes the instance that you join more important and thus breaks part of the core appeal of federation—that it doesn't really matter what instance you join?

I'm thinking of special-interest instances in particular; I could see some people posting #FOSS news in the #fostodon local timeline thinking (perhaps correctly!) that it wouldn't interest their non-local followers.
