CW: Rant about other YouTubers (without names)
Just watched the other YouTubers' videos about the #EVO64 board and... Why are most of them claiming you can build a 100% new C64 from it? Clickbait? We still don't have a replacement for every single MOS custom chip. Or am I missing something?
Also, that one video that involves placing the VIC-II in the board backwards made me cringe slightly. (Especially the part blaming it on the EVO creators.) :blobpats:

Whoa, this is next-level crazy. Check out this demonstration video of the NuTube64, a vacuum tube preamp mounted on the new Evo64 Commodore 64 motherboard. It's based on the Korg Nutube, which is a pretty amazing modern take on a triode tube. The way the retro community is inventing stuff nowadays makes it quite hard (and expensive!) to keep up with Commodore. #C64 #Evo64 #vacuumtubes
