Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park
Estes Park, located at the eastern entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, USA, serves as the gateway to one of America's most scenic national parks. Here's what a photographer might capture:

Estes Park, CO, a few years ago

From a location in Estes Park, under a clear, half-moon lit sky, between 9:00 and 9:02 local time I saw a bright red object with no aircraft strobe appear suddenly almost directly overhead, then extremely rapidly silently cross the sky in a southeast direction. I was able to track the object until it went below the horizon, bearing 160°
Nothing shows up on flight radar. Is there any open source radar that might have shown the object? NOAA weather radar is down at the moment. Could it have been #starlink?

Fairly successful #aurora viewing tonight in #EstesPark #Colorado! Pretty cold and a fair amount of car traffic (which meant light in our faces), but got some good pictures. Pictures are more vibrant than what we saw with the naked eye, but it was still fun (and cold).
Everything is unedited off an iPhone 13 Pro.

@xinit “HEEEEERE'S HELEN!”
With her #OverlookHotel carpet-pattern #kaftan and axe, #DragonCon2023 #cosplayer Heather Miller mashed up #HelenRoper from #ThreesCompany and #StanleyKubrick's film adaptation of #StephenKing's “#TheShining.”
Fun triple-entendre:
• Stanley Kubrick directed “The Shining.”
• The story was inspired by King’s 1974 visit to the #StanleyHotel in #EstesPark, Colorado.
• And #MrsRoper’s long-suffering husband… was named Stanley. -
