A Flood Watch has been issued for portions of far Northeast Colorado including Logan, Phillips, and Sedgwick counties through 3am Sunday. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are expected in those locations through early Sunday morning. Locally, up to 3-5 inches of rainfall is possible. Avoid flooded roadways! -

Jul 25 at 11:58 AM EDTFirefighters are vigilantly monitoring the Wright Draw fire with aerial reconnaissance from helicopters and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) equipped with infrared sensors. There is very little fire activity in the division. Containment has increased to 92% as additional areas of the inaccessible portions along the cliffs on the east side have been secured.
Weather and Fire Behavior:
Fire behavior has intensified with the arrival of warm, dry air from the southwest. This airmass has also carried smoke from fires in the region. These conditions are forecasted to persist through early next week, and fire managers are cognizant of the potential for near-critical or critical fire weather over the weekend. Strategy and tactics have been matched to the opportunities presented by the fuel and weather as conditions have changed. -

Jul 15 at 7:08 PM EDTOfficials will provide an update on the Turner Gulch and Wright Draw Fires in a community meeting at the Gateway Community Center, 07/16/2025, at 6pm. The meeting will also be livestreamed on Facebook. If there are technology issues, the recording will be posted to Facebook after the meeting.

CO 141 is closed to through traffic. A pilot car is guiding local residents from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a full nighttime closure for all traffic at 10 p.m. per CDOT of Facebook. -

The Evacuation Center can be found at the Clifton Community Center at 3270 D 1/2 Road, Clifton, CO. Please note, this is not a housing shelter. Individuals who have been displaced will be assessed for needs, including housing, and connected to resources. For those with large animals who need assistance in securing shelter for their large animals please call 970-778-0161 to be connected with options and resources.
