The risk of locally heavy rainfall will increase Thursday. Stronger storms will be capable of producing an inch or more of rain in 20 minutes. While ingredients for heavy rain will be in place, there is uncertainty to storm development and evolution. In addition, storms will be moving fairly quickly, so that could limit the threat of flash flooding. Stay tuned to the NWS for further updates. -

Shower and storm coverage will show a slight uptick as we head through this evening, mainly in and near the mountains and I-25 Corridor. Precipitation chances will increase for Thursday through Saturday, with Thursday afternoon and early evening bringing a threat of locally heavy rainfall. -
