Re-watching #TheShining (1980), after many years, after seeing a key scene devoted to the movie in #ReadyPlayerOne (2018).
Just started watching it but it's still as creepy as I remembered it. 😲
Gotta to put that hotel on my bucket list for places to stay before I die. 😉

Fun triple-entendre:
• Stanley Kubrick directed “The Shining.”
• The story was inspired by King’s 1974 visit to the #StanleyHotel in #EstesPark, Colorado.
• And #MrsRoper’s long-suffering husband… was named Stanley. -

We crossed a beautiful lake and are now enjoying a sensational view of the #RockyMountains which basically surround the entire town!
Also met some cool people at the welcome reception of #ICOLS2023.
The conference happens in the #StanleyHotel, famous for being the inspiration for #StephenKing's #TheShining.... Who remembers the scene in the Hedge Maze...? -
