@purplepadma #today I'm failing to do much #research though I am having useful #heatpump conversations on BuildHub and collecting data and experience. And of course I am preparing for the end of month #EOM and end of year #EOY data collection and analysis fest: isn't everyone? %-P
Oh, and I will be out at an #NYE party, obvs...

Windows 11 has received a number of improvements this year. Some new, and some enhancements to existing features. Here's a recap of features and changes that became available in 2024 for Windows 11.

Another part of my year-end retrospective playlists.
This would be the nite part of the collection. If you've ever had a wild nite, this may be familiar.
It starts normal enough, good Euro club jams, danceable but sort of dark. Then a little weirdness starts to get injected before a specific song I consider the tipping point into the full on weirdness of a great nite that's maybe gone sideways.

I mean, I knew mobile was big, but... wow.

Every year I work on some playlists of tracks that came out in the year that I was really into.
I always intend it to be a jumping off point, if you like any of the tracks, you'll probably like jumping deeper into that artist.
But I also want the whole thing to flow nicely. So I usually have some kind of (very loose) theme.
This year I went for sort of a morning, day, nite idea. I'm still working on the morning and nite parts, but the day is done, ENJOY!!

Happy Birthday to me!
1.5 school days to go. I am always too exhausted to feel like doing much for my birthday and often wish I had celebrated my half birthday instead!!
Perhaps next year!! Hahaha -
Close to 2 movies.
That's how long it took me to fold this year's zines for my class. I've been making these as an end of year gift with messages for each class for 5 yrs now. I've got better at accepting that some students won't value them & I've had some tell me they put them in with treasures as a keep sake, that warms my heart. I enjoy thinking about them as I fold & cut my way to making them.

This has been such a mind-splitting busy time at work. Security questionnaires for days and days. And we're using a tool to help. The trouble is the sales team doesn't want to own rfps. I don't understand why they want to rely on someone else that might slow their process down. Unless.... They want a scapegoat? They think they won't close it, and if security takes too long, they can blame the loss on us? #74rku5 #rfps #rfpio #sales #EOY

Here is my zine production, midway through making them.
I just learned that these tiny books are called zines. I have been making one for the end of the year for the last few years, a nice way to gather some thoughts and share some memories with my students 🤩Table top with a pair of scissors, a pile of A4 paper with little photos and stories written by me, and a pile of tiny zines (mini folded books) https://mastodon.nz/@meganisalanis/109510503269296158
