  1. Selma Rejects Jim Crow 2.0

    > Protest is brewing again in Selma. In the wake of Callais [the recent decision by Samuel Alito & John Roberts, powerful white-nationalist masters of the current US political legal system which completed the dismantlement of the Voting Rights Act foundational to the initiative of the last six decades to bring democracy to the US] and the overt gerrymandering and dilution of the Black vote that the Supreme Court now says is legal, protestors marched today.

  2. 🚨 The truth: Missouri’s AG cannot stop the referendum on Gov. Kehoe’s gerrymandered map. Only the people decide. Signatures are due by Dec. 11, 2025. Let’s protect democracy and

  3. Mike “Krooked” Kehoe’s gerrymander map puts me in MO-5. Bring it. I’m Saline and Lafayette County area born & raised, with strong ties in Cole—including Republicans ready to back a centrist.

If the GOP’s so confident, why cheat? Kehoe’s a lemon. 🍋

  4. 🚨 Trump says “Missouri is in” for a new map—and Jefferson City nods along. I’m fighting for compact, fair districts with one truly competitive seat so voters choose politicians, not the other way around.

  5. #ProportionalRepresentation gives minorities a fair voice. Not just ethnic and religious minorities, but ideological minorities, such as conservatives in blue states and liberals in red states. (plus it also fixes gerrymandering) #ProRep #FairSeats #MultipartyAmerica #EndGerrymandering

  6. I wonder if the following rules could put an end to or at least meaningful constrain #gerrymandering

    - create districts with even number of voters (existing rule)
    - no district can sit inside another district
    - pick a layout that minimises the total length of the district borders circumference/girth
    - when multiple divisions match the circumference rule [insert something clever like pick the one with the smallest median difference in surface area]

  11. #Ohio #GOP is lying about #IssueOne, an anti-gerrymandering amendment to create a commission of citizens (no politicos, donors, lobbyists) to draw legislative maps.

Lie 1: Commissioners can't be fired.
Fact: No. They can be removed under laws that apply to other state commissions.

Lie 2: Commissioners can pay themselves big salaries.
Fact: Commissioners get $125 per day (+ exps) for days they work.
